This laser was (iirc) >$400 when new- it has the C-mount diode-
very bright- more than a 800mW 650nm-- has every safety need except delayed start-and the shutter- spent 99% of its life in a case. Priced to go quick- $250-
with battery- charger- shipped free to CONUS all other PM for ship options.
30 day warranty-over 18 yrs only-- you need safety glasses for red lasers ( usually green lens)

its the center red in my avatar--

back with old and some new pics when this gets approved.. TY for looking-
many more items will go up in this thread - so sub it..

hak:beer:

the red in these is the one FS--

also in my avatar with a 200mW635 Pl-D
then the one FS

by eye you can't see a huge diff between the 200 and the 400 in my -
avatar-to 'appear twice as 'bright' it would need to be an 800mW 635nm
Its X4 not X2'

the blue is a 445 DIY about 900mW and the green is myPl-C 532/500 that makes 700 mw easy

That's an awesome deal for $250 shipped. The PL-E Pro 635nm 400mW, plus batteries and charger is $437.97 including shipping on JetLasers.

Good luck on the sale!

some pics & info
& a correction- This one does NOT have the shutter--

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

... While im pretty sure this is still a 400mW -- I cannot provide a new graph- my laptop is in the shop and the graphing software will not load into my 'back-up'PC so I am using a kenometer that I think reads low- so i have listed this as a 350mW (for now)

the LUMIA below was just made now with the Pl-C that i must sell.

its the mystery glass and i am seeking MORE!

to see a size comparison I have a pic with the very limited PL-D , a PL-C and a Ti-B-

They are very rarely out of thier red box- (which is also for sale)

can squeeze into one of my (FS) small Pllican cases if you remove the tail cap (see pic in other post)

I have a free cheapie charger if you want it but recomend a smart(and safe) charger like the nitecore line- i have one (i2)extra @15$ if gotten with laser- I have a battery for it free too.

*************
pics for the below are in next post--srry
ok pics- at ~6 feet the focused spot follow by zoom in9smaller than it appears thru a filter pics coming next
then COMPLETELY UNFOCUSED you can see the square shape we get from C-mount diodes and a zoom in pic all at 6 '.Its damn bright- and ths 'dot' is small at first.. side by side to our eyes this laser has the same 'brightness' as a 800mW 650- at a fairly close distance- the best going ATm is the very spendy 640nm diode
both bright AND great beam size at distance -1W 640 is 1200$ analog lab--Meirlight greedbay--
If i can find them i will ad the mousetail switch (see pic)- these are what laser sights use - two or three other tailcap 'plugs' will be included.

I wonder if this host would accept the 4w c-mount? Would be interesting to see if the host could be purchased gutted. I just spent several hundred dollars to have Jayrob build me a C-mount host which I am happy to spend but it would be really nice to have something like this you could drop one of the 4 watters into.

Not sure i understand what you ask??

4W C-mount red?/

as far as 'dropping a diode' into a JL host- that has been tried with a Pl-E when they first came out and it was a bad deal for both sides- the builder was clueless and expected JL to send EVERYTHING they needed including step by step instructions for dummies and that is needed to use it as a host-- what CAN be done MAYBE is ask Gray to build a few on these with the buyers paying up front--

IMO- its wiser to go with a member like Jay--

haK

ps

if ANYONE can FIND A SOURCE of those 4x4 glass coasters I will trade a basic Lumia kit for a few-- I need MANY of them--so i need the source more than just a few-BUt will take what I can get:D:whistle:

.GL let the search begin-- hak

Here is a build with the 4w red c-mount. Yes, there is a 4w optical power output 650nm diode (5w before the FAC). It's been somewhat problematic to drive at higher powers with the current offerings of drivers, and there have been several blown for lack of a good driver. Lazeerer is working on a couole prototype drivers designed specifically with this diode in mind but it is still in the testing stages. I am hoping it will be ready for production in the next couple months. You can see one of the sucessful builds below but it is driven only to about half of its potential. Due to the expense these haven't been driven and tested very much above their rated output. I suspect you could probably get around 5w optical output overdriven but I'm not gonna be the one to risk $400 to find out. I am waiting for Lazeerer's driver and plan to drive mine right at the max.

As far as that piece of glass goes, can you break me off a piece? Just kidding. If you do come across more I would love to get a piece as well. I will keep my eyes open for some as well. I just got into the lumia scene and I love them! They are so cool, mesmerizing as hell. I've been on the hunt for unique glass ever since I started this recently and I've found some really great stuff at Hobby Lobby, if you haven't checked out their offerings you should. Also, about once every other month Hobby Lobby will put all of their cut glass on sale for 30% off. I have a friend who works there email me everytime they out stuff on sale I like to buy. Not sure if this is an organized nation wide sale or a local phenomenon but currently in Lawton, OK they have all their glass on sale for 30% off as of Saturday. I found one piece that has a very sharp, angular pattern that when combined with another slightly wavy piece in front, it does a lumia projection like nothing else I've experienced, very cool. I've also got a second motor I am working with to have another piece of glass counter rotate in front of the other; the motors run in series to cut the speed to half on each and sum both speeds of moving glass back to the 1RPM effect. Gonna post a thread with my results. Anyways, enough hijacking your post, sorry. Just love the looks of that glass, got me really excited. In fact, it's all your fault I'm hijacking this, you're the one who got me turned on to the lumia a couple weeks ago.....

duh (on me)

the 650 is the only 4W c-mount= forgot about it new diodes happen much faster now compared with the past..

only lucked upon one of these- and will be teaming up with fellow texan 'Gadget'(Dallas)he is a wiz at cutting glass into circles which I can only do if its a large one-3.5 inches--- HE has a diamond circle cutter than goes down to 2 inches so he keeps one and I get back the other three (IF the 'cut' goes well) and the scraps too I always keep them to send out as samples and also to build a LUMIA CAP that keeps dust from my JL's fronts- and make a nice static LUMIA-- - I do NOT like lens caps that can do harm if , by accident, a laser comes on and you do not know that because of the dust cap-

Rodman is also iin our TX LUMIA group and has recently gotten a sample pack of glass AND Bradof69 at PLEX trurned me onto a company(Delphi) that sells 8X8 sheets of 7 or 8 good textured clear glass- so at 2 inch 'rounds' we will get lots of pieces to sell-
Sub my LUMIA thread to stay on top-

plenty 1/3rd RPm motors in stock presently same or lower price as SS charges with shipping of one pcs. (around $`11 each)

lots of interesting reads found by searching 'LUMIA'- the earliest must have been candle powered as they date back to ALMOST 100 YEARS --

EZ to build on an AL plate or even a piece of plastic cutting boards (nylon??)

my kits will soon be standardized - to a one motor basic or delux versions or a second motor added for very little-

If you have seen my pics of the candelabra bubs keep in mind that at owe's AND Home Depot they sell some that LOOK the same but are not as good- hard to tell w/o using a laser BUT IF you look VERY close to the part between the 'diamonds' (pattern) you want the ones with a lin4e you can see in between- the other are smooth from diamond to diamond and that 'line' between makes that one a better choice- - see my pics of this in the LUMIA thread-- or be prepared to make a return ( save yr recpt)

Antique shops love their glass too much IMO- junk stores - thrift shops are a better deal every time. Do 'nice talking' with the store Op. and show with your pointer what you mean- they may like you enough to save pieces for you and give you an even better deal...same goes for Mirror & Glass shops-

*****************

best 25 cents i have ever spent would have paid 10X s that--
use ctrl + to zoom that green bulb pic below-
we need a 'drink coaster' expert-or collector-
IIRC there are some websites about unknown items either What they are or where to buy-
*******************
green pic below:
the space between the 'diamonds makes the diff- hard to see at first by looking at the bulb but side by side LUMIA the 'line between' version makes a better and bigger 'throw'

OR but my kit as it comes with one already mounted to fit the motor-
and a Tex-size 'torture tube'-- and some mounts to hold down the motors etc.

its NOT(great) LUMIA unless you image 'morphs' (slow is better-- even a clock motor with 1 rmp needs to be slowed down.

so I do like the 1/2 rpm vdc hankscraft motors BUT wow they are NOT cheap- I see no edge with DC as I would never need to reverse the direction-- I have two of these waiting to be used in my portable LUMIA all ran from 18650s.

hak

I must have seen a hunf=dred crappy old lamps in dumpsters everywehere but mostly at the charity- thrift shop where i volunteered almost every weekend for 10 years that 'collar' in the last pic with the set screw makes into a nice motor mount that should NEVER fail compression fitted stuff CAN come apart- so I suggest you build your lumia with gravity as your friend- with the motor on its back for builds with bulbs or tubes , of course for flat glass the motor must be on its side-- where these stand as far as 'street legal' i ama little in the dark- I guess you must LPM the brightest spots and do the math to see if yours is 'legal'MPE. Or just use it in private like I do..

suggestions?? Qs? fire away by PM or over in me LUMIA thread

LOVING the new avatar Len. Good luck with your lasers :D

I hope you can sell a few more Ti B's and the PL-C. Both are fantastic lasers. I'm not sure why Jetlasers doesn't get more business. They make CNI quality lasers (most of the time BETTER)!!!

Anyone in the market for a 635 laser or 532, these are the lasers I'd recommend.

Good luck Len!
