ive got an ultrafire c3 host with an loc diode. i also have a matched set of romisen RC-A2's with an LOC red diode in the black host and a phr803 diode in the grey host. all 3 lasers have custom machined heatsinks of aluminum by dark-horse.

pics of completed lasers..

all 3 lasers are built in the same way so i only took a pic of one but here are the peices of the laser. there is a groove machined into the heatsink that houses the driver and there is a pcb on the back side so the battery makes contact.

ultrafire c3 hosts diode is set at 400ma for a longer life and outputs 248mw peak and a 245mw average. laser has aixiz glass lens.

for the matched set the black RC-A2 driver is set to 445ma for the LOC diode and outputs 275mw peak with an average of 271mw. the grey RC-A2 host is set at 180ma and outputs 151mw peak with an average of 149mw. black host has an aixiz glass lens and the blu has an aixiz acrylic lens.

red RC-A2 power graph:

blu RC-A2 power graph:

the ultrafire c3 host will come with 1 battery, 1 charger, and a dustcap to keep the lens clean when not in use. asking 125$ shipped anywhere.

the matched set of RC-A2's will come with a total of 2 batteries, 1 charger, 2 dustcaps(one black for red laser, and a green GITD for blu-ray), i am also including 2 uranium glass marbles in this package. asking 230$ shipped anywhere.

i will add extra batteries to the packages for an additional 3$ for each battery. please make sure you ask for this. ;)

all lasers will ship in esd/anti-static bags

Re: FS: 3 lasers(1 red, 2 bluray)

why thank you sir ;) im working on getting another member of the forum to review them if possible so people will know the good build quality i put into them. ive been working with dark-horse to get custom heatsinks made for all the lasers i build so it wicks the heat away from the diode.

Do you have any more pictures?

I like the lasers.

What driver and lens are you using with the violet lasers?
Your mA/mW ratio seems poor.
I'm not slamming the lasers.
I just think you should be getting more out of them :-?

the 2 colemans arent for sale anymore. i used the lava drives to make a set of red/blu ray in the pic below. im at work now so ill have to answer the other ?'s after work. the coleman hosts are for sale if anyone wants them though.

its a flexdrive with an aixiz acrylic lens..well...was. til i used the drivers for other lasers. ive had this happen with a few of the phr diodes. most of them i push to 180ma output between 140-160mw but a few only go up to 130mw. my only guess is that since every phr diode reacts slightly different that this may just be one of those diodes but im not sure b/c i have no way to test why its happening. my sonarII case has a lavadrive v2 at 180ma and outputs ~160mw while some ive pushed to 180ma only output 150mw max. it may just be a weak diode. i would try with other batts but ive stripped the hosts of the drivers... ::) ill test those diodes again later and see what happens. they may do better at different currents.

I think your mw's are off, the rayovac I bought from you seemed a lot stronger than 140mw's not that it was a problem getting a stronger than exspected laser. On another note drews build was solid as well as his service, you get a great deal for any of his lasers.

Hey rfcman.....

which model of LPM did you measure drew's laser against... :-?

i dont think he tested it with a lpm. he also has a daquin built blu-ray and said mine seemed a lot stronger than that one. ive formatted my hdd since then so i dont have the graph for that one anymore but i want to say the rayovac host blu ray i sold to him tested in at ~150mw.

Thanks drew... I thought that maybe there was a problem with your LasereBee I calibration... ::)

I personally can't tell which 405nm is stronger by looking at it (unless there is at least a 50mW
difference)... must be my eyes are not tuned to that wavelength... ;D ;D ;D

i was thinking the same thing last night when i couldnt get any more than 250mw from an LOC diode but after changing the batts in my dmm i set it to the correct current i wanted and got 270+mw. ::)
