This is the first time I try to sell something here and I hope I do everything right. Please tell me if I am doing something wrong (except the fact that I am selling 2 wonderful lasers that I should keep). The thing is, when I found these forums I started to spend lots of cash on lasers and I need some cash and I have realized I cannot keep all my lasers.

So there are 2 lasers for sale. Both are using red LOC diodes (lpc 815), flexdrives @ 450 mA and Jayrob heatsinks.  I do not have a power meter so I cannot tell you the exact output from these lasers but according to the diagram in this pic http://hacylon.case.edu/laser/diode_red_roundup.PNG they should be around 270 mW. Both light matches in like 2 seconds when 2 meters away and both burn plastics. Both have visible beams at night (or in a dark room :p). Both have aixiz modules with plastic cut away and hence they are both focusable.

None of them have been used more than maybe 5 minutes totall and never more than 45 seconds at the time. They have only been tested.

The price is 100 USD each shipped.

If you have any questions, PM or email me. Or write in this thread. Payment goes via Paypal.

Did I forget anything? :p

So, is 170 USD too much?
All I can say is that both these lasers are awesome!
I forgot to say that dust caps are included.
Both are powered by 3 normal AAA batteries...

Probably.  Unfortunately the "Dilda-laser" has knocked the legs out from under the red laser market.  Even people in the US that can no longer get the Dilda directly still know that there are 200mW red lasers that can be had for $50.  Yes, yours is more powerful and available in the US, but that doesn't change peoples' "knowledge" that they can get one for less.  Now add to that the fact that you are really an unknown builder.  You may have better luck in another venue, but I cannot recommend what that might be for you.  You need a less knowledgeable and less cynical market than the forum to get these prices.  To sell them here, you would have to drop your price to probably <$100 to get them sold.

I know that sucks, but it is the reality of the market.  Think about the comparison to blu-ray lasers.  Lasers with lower outputs which are sold commercially for $600-$2000 sell here for $100-$200.

**EDIT**  To sell here you've really got to have a "hook" of some kind.  Jayrob makes the heat sinks and is constantly creating new laser builds to drive the market.  IgorT has his "all-in-one" module and extreme reliability due to his custom testing.  Kenom is always updating and improving his host designs.  Jake is the "discounter extraordinaire."  I build mostly unique lasers, matched sets, some "highly discounted" lasers used in experimentation, and gas lasers.

What you have offered here is the same lasers most people here can build with just a bit of research and effort.  Your market is only the members here that either do not want to or for some reason cannot build it themselves. Either that or you must make it so cheap that it isn't worth it to build it themselves

Peace,
dave

I love competition. Innovation, better prices, higher quality, better selection. Bless thee dilda, and all your kind.

It cost me about 120 USD to build one of these. So I could sell them for 120 USD plus shipping but I cannot go lower than that.

Btw, I might have buyers here in Sweden now that are willing to pay 150 USD so I might be saved :)
