FS: 10A test loads

I have been wanting one of these for a while, so I through an order of stuff in with my last PCB and part order. But, OSHpark only sells in multiples of 3, so I have 2 extra that I don't need. These are RHD's original design, tweaked just a bit for me by DJquan. It should be noted these use a .1ohm resistor instead of the traditional 1ohm, so you have to move the decimal point on your DMM (i.e. if you have it in the 20v range and it says .155, that's really 1.55A). They have 2 mounting holes in each corner, which at some point I plan to use to put mine in a project box with a panel voltmeter and ammeter.

These need heatsinks. I didn't put any on because people may want to do their own thing (someone may want to have some elaborate fan cooling or something), so I wanted to leave the options open instead of permanently epoxying heatsinks to it.

The only gripe I have is the flux I used on the bottom did NOT want to come off, so they bottoms are a bit smudgy. Not a big deal unless you are a hardcore fan of the underside of PCB's....

Each one comes with the test load, 6 extra headers, 4 jumpers (2 of each style, I prefer the extended tabs, they are easier to grab), 3 screw terminals (which I can put on for you if you'd like), and an extra diode just in case.

These terminals will hold DMM probes nicely, which is why I got them (so I'm glad they work). Also saves you the time of soldering/desoldering driver leads.

Yep! Only gripe is the holes are too large so it's very difficult to get anything centered. Meant to PM you about that, but forgot.

Which holes?

The through holes for...everything. the headers are especially bad, but they are all just too large for the components. Still works, just a royal pain to get stuff centered.

Not sure what library RHD used for the original circuit. When I use the default libraries in Eagle, the hole sizes are just right so I didn't bother to check them.

Yea, if you switched out all the diodes but no, not as they are currently. Maybe, MAYBE with good heatsinking you could do over 10A for a very short time, but I'm not sure how much for how long, and even then 5A over rated current would be too much. There are diodes that could take that current easily, search around on digikey for a bit and see what you find.
