Have you tried emailing him? if you have and he hasn't responded in 4 days, file a paypal dispute. If you haven't emailed him directly, try doing that, then if he doesn't answer in 3-4 days I would definitely file a dispute. Even if you do file a dispute, it won't matter, if it's resolved, so if you file one and you get it all worked out in the allotted time, the dispute gets dropped, no big deal for either of you. If you file the dispute and things get worse then you can always escalate the dispute and have paypal scrutinize the situation. Good luck.

He gave you his number, did he not? I'd try calling him if your PM's or emails were not answered.

You said earlier that you weren't much of talker but with your money at stake, I'd just suck it up.

What I think, it's possible that this guy, Vaughan (Speedster239) is just sitting back and looking at the stuff, that's been going on in his continued absence and just smiling and thinking about what to do! I say this, because, after him posting all that stuff on LPF,
he just went "Poof"and dropped off the map! Disappeared! Nothing! Not a word at all!
Just too convenient!! Don't you think?!

Anyway, Thanks for the suggestions guys!

P.S, yap,yap, yap, There was never a video of a functional and working laser was there.
But still no Vaughan (You know who this PS is directed to) Help find S239, so that the MM
can solve this!

Without response it is time to file.

A video of no light coming out of a laser would be so easy to fake that it would prove nothing.

Eh, I might have to disagree with you on this one Dave as long as he does everything on film from opening a new pack of batteries, to measuring it with a voltmeter and putting them inside of the laser in one continuous shot and making sure to never let anything in question (batteries, laser and meter) leave the camera. Unless he went through the trouble of somehow opening the laser and then disabling it, in which he'd gain nothing out of and the seller would then get screwed if he did in fact send out a legitimate product.

Edit: If he don't respond then do what Dave said and just file a claim already.

You can talk, talk, talk all you want, but I want a phone call at the very least. Is that an unreasonable request? And just so you know, when you file a dispute with Paypal, they will be calling you. So, so much for not talking, because they're going to require open communication between all three of us. This is an absolute waste of my time, and I very well know, as everyone else here, that you're making this awfully hard.

I, as the seller, am simply requiring one thing from Mike so that we can get on way. ONE thing, a simple, very simple, phone call. How would you feel if you were in my situation? And so much for my reputation. This isn't ruining my reputation, I'm not the one cursing at people trying to help out. That's simply immature and shows the nature of what Mike's doing in another form.

I'm too old for this madness :p.

Maybe the emails that I sent to you, had something to do with it! You still haven't
checked the PM's that I have sent to you. Now,let's go to the Court of Public Opinion!
We no longer need to make this a long drawn out dog fight! The lack of trust! All the
accusations! The bad words that have been thrown around! We now have a very solid way
to solve this situation and put it to rest! By some slim chance, just in case that you
don't know (I think you do) a very trusted and well respected member of the LPF , has
volunteered as the middleman (MM) to mediate and solve this mess!! What can be easier?
You wanted every bit out front! Well this it! All we have to do, is what is known in the world
as the KISS! (keep it simple, stupid!) solution. That means--(#1)-I send the laser & shades to the MM--(#2)--YOU send the $41.05 USD to the MM--(#3)--Once the MM has both items in his possession, he checks things out and resolves the problem!!--(#4)-We live by what he decides!!!. How hard can that be ? There's no hiding! Everything is out & in public! I'm very much in favor of a neutral party solution to this , so Stand up! No more talking! ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS!

P.S.--We will have to pay any small additional fees to the MM for any $ charges occurred
by him in this resolution.( i.e., shipping charges,PayPal, whatever)

wow... this is still going on? I figured this would've been resolved by now! I clicked this thread because I thought someone had a laser for sale... But I was unintentionally sucked back into this mess :tired:

omg its so easy. you file a claim, send the damn laser back and he'll refund you're money, if he doesn't you can escalate the claim!!! GOD you are BOTH HORRIBLE buyer/seller(s)

It's not complicated!!!!! This could have been resolved ages ago.


--and p.s. mfo a vid WOULD be too easy to fake, even he does everything you said.

You've made statements and accusations that I am trying to run a scam and that I just want to keep the laser & shades and also get the return of my purchase price $$. Just in case you've forgotten or ignoring the fact, is remember I notified you, right away that the laser was inoperable and DOA(dead on arrival) out of the shipping box, when I received it!! However it took some time before you responded to my notification. I've since been trying to set up the return of the laser & shades to you and the return of my $$ to me. Now it seems as if you don't want to settle this situation. It also seems that you don't want the return of your laser and shades to you and the return of the purchase $$ to me! There is a definite lack of trust between us, so let's use the middleman(MM) option and get this problem SOLVED!!--------MIKE

Mike, I believe you're an honest guy, but it IS standard practice to send back product before you receive a refund, so it does look that way to many people!

Open a dispute asking for a refund, send back the damn laser with tracking info, and you will get your money back! Whether he refunds it to you voluntarily, or paypal does. Don't trip man this could have been resolved LONG AGO!
