Re: LOTS of lasers to go! 405, 445, 660

Surprising how many people are interested in them. I may have to build some more.

coleman MAX is my favorite host hands down, and I haven't seen a 650 / 660nm laser in a looonnnng time, was one of my favorite colors too.

Re: LOTS of lasers to go! 405, 445, 660

I like the Coleman Max host, since I'd say that it is fairly simple and straightforward, and works. It's small enough to carry easily and the others I have are reliable, too. I really like the enhanced focus adjuster on this one - I haven't seen that particular one before.

I'm looking foward to checking it out when it arrives. Also, my other reds are all around 275mW and with this one being 501mW it will be interesting to see the performance differential...

@Kevlar

I think your mixed up. the LPC-815 is a LOC diode

the LPC-826 is the new LCC with a longer die

Lol. It happens all the time. I know the LPC-826 is the newer red with a longer die but I thought it was still Long Open Can.

Hey man, you know it is NOT 501mW right? Its set at 501mA which is diode current, it will probably be about the same power as your other reds... :undecided:

You are right - misread the specs. 501mW would really be crazy for this red! Yes, 501mA

Thanks for the FYI. Still on board to receive this one from bh....

Yeah, just making sure. Woulda been pretty disappointing to expect 500mW and get in the 200s

You just don't see any reds any more. I still like them and the focus adapters are what really caught my eye on these too.

Moh does a fantastic job on the focus adapters. Only thing I wish I told him was to make them skinier. Knurling would be a nice added touch too. :)
