This laser includes the following features:
Black Maglite 2C host. As always, it is a side clicky on/off with the ability to do momentary on.

Dr. Lava's premier FlexMod P3 driver set to 1.8A. It is intended for labbies, so it is ultra high quality with diode saving features built into it.

2x18650 Sanyo Li-Ion 2400 maH batteries. This means the laser has 1 hour and 20 minutes of battery life before needing to recharge. Sanyo has the best batteries and reputation for Li-Ion batteries.

XJ-A140 diode, not the 130 diode.

Glow In The Dark dustcap. Its important to keep dust off the glass lens for a better beam.

Worlds smallest Li-ion charger: Cottenpickers Chargers. Provides TRUE CC/CV charge profile and non-trickle termination of charge to extend the life of the battery and keep the capacity high. It plugs into any USB port so you can bring the laser/charger with you where ever you go. Just need a computer.

MASSIVE aluminum heatsink.. HUGE!

Aixiz 445 glass lens. I prefer the lower cost and better beam profile of these lens.

I used Arctic Silver 5 to remove any possible air gaps on where the diode/module meet, the module/heatsink meet, and where the driver transistor/heatsink meet. Diodes hate heat build up, so I do to! Its worth the extra time to painstakingly apply thermal compound to the critical areas.

Just had one of my customers LPM a few of the lasers. Two of them Peaked 2W!

Suggested laser use cycle: 4 minutes on / 1 minute off.

The laser with everything included is $270 shipped (48 states) and is putting out 1.8W-2W. Everything is included except glasses. You DO need glasses and must purchase them separately.

2c mag? is that jayrobs stubby? I wanna see these things, 20 of em?!?! man you must've had a good tax refund! haha

edit: whoops, i checked your link and saw it is the "stubby" still, pretty cool sale man!

Its not the stubby, its Maglite 2C. Based off of the ROP (Roar of the Pelican) build from CPF (Candle Power Forums.)

Its a tight fit for two 18650's but it gives the laser a lot of maH at 2400. Pretty much the same as 26500, maybe even MORE because of the highest quality batteries I put into this build.

Many a sleepless night were spent getting all the details and parts right. Quite the project but I had soo much fun doing it. ;)

Its kind of funny that the Maglite 2D laser that you sold to a guy in Thailand is the same guy I sold one of my lasers to. The Maglite 2D laser was the reason I decided to make all of these, I wish they had Maglite 2C's in colors other then Black and Shiny Black ;)

Re: FS: High Quality 1.8A/~1.8W 445nm lasers, 19 left.

If you send one to me in Los Angeles, I'd be happy to put it on my Radiant Alpha for you. I just sent it back to Mariomaster and he verified the calibration, so it is a recently calibrated meter :)

Actually, I'll make an open offer to meter ANYONE's laser for free if you send to L.A. with a return label.

If it's in fact over 1.8W I'd probably buy it :D haha (I wonder how hard it would be to hide one this size from the wife?)

Re: FS: High Quality 1.8A/~1.8W 445nm lasers, 19 left.

There is a current vs. output graph out there, and in fact, an average diode(Dtr's tests) at 1.8A with a aixiz 405/445 glass lens averages around 1,710mW. to Get 1.8W you would need a very efficient diode

cause hell, i've had a a140 diode being driven at 1.5A only putting out 1.2W, so in this case A does not directly = W if you get that

I metered it with my thermometer. Its doing OVER 9000!!!
:lasergun::lasergun::lasergun:

Are you sure you can handle that much power?

Btw, new pics coming soon.

Offer stands- my meter goes up to 2W. If it maxes out, you WILL sell out in a day :D

9000 :wtf: is this a typo?

Let me google that for you

Its a nerd right of passage to say its over 9000. I just needed to pop my cherry.
:na:

A quote from jayrob on how his Maglite 2C performs (which is the same as mine except for a few tweaks I threw in):
This kit will perform the same as DTR's Frankenstein build shown here: (diode efficiency will vary)
http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/2w-445-dtr-frankenstein-ultrafire-rl-2088-handheld-host-56255.html

If jayrob who is one of the godfathers of monster builds says that this build will perform the same as Frankenstein then I believe him.

I should have someone coming later this week to meter some of my lasers. I will post the results when I get them.
