Sorry to hijack this thread but I've been wanting to.ask someone that is experienced with flashlights and didn't want to start a new thread or join candlepower forum. What are or is the best lights for throw? I'm looking into buying one but want expert opinion what has the longest throw. Thank you

You need to check out this thread over on BLF Best Throwers For the Money | BudgetLightForum.com

The FF4 is definitely a respected thrower. Here is a video of the ph50 vs the older ff3 (the ff4 has a 60W turbo mode). If you are looking for LED I would consider a modded Fenix TK-61.

Nice lights. If I didn't have to replace a bunch of stuff that was stolen while I was on vacation I might have grabbed both the HID and the PT-54. I have a PT-54 but it's just a direct battery connection and no driver. :(
