THE EVOLUTION PROTO-VX HOST, AKA ARCTIC SPYDER

PLEASE READ ALL THE POST PRIOR TO SENDING ME ANY MESSAGES ASKING WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN EXPLAINED ALREADY. I WILL MOST LIKELY NOT ANSWER THE MESSAGE OR POST IF I HAVE TO REPEAT WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN SAID.
This is NOT a Group Buy, but a PRE SALE, as it will go into production either way and will be made. I have been working hard to get these off the ground and did not want to post of the forum before i got the samples and have confirmed everything, so not as to get peoples hope up or be flooded with emails.
The Time frame for this will be from 27/11/11-31/12/11 Roughly 1 Month from start to postage.
The quality of the item is very high standards and is made locally here in Australia, as to not get cheap and low quality plus miss understanding of communication from a foreign country.
The Evolution Proto VX barrel host, is basically a replica of the Arctic Spyder laser but with some modifications to make it more Builder Friendly.
I have posted some pictures up so you can see the samples that has came in. The first change which has been made is right of the bat, you can see that is it Longer in length than the Original Arctic Laser, the body is the same size, except the top where you have the fins is longer. The original has only 9 rows of fins whereas the Evolution has 11. This is because if you ever wanted to modify it to except a 532nm Green Laser modual in it, then it will give you enough room. It is made from High Grade 6061 T6 Aluminum which is the same material used in aircrafts, and because it is one of the best material that can conduct electricity.
Secondly, the Part which holds the Diode (same size as the bluRays and 445nm diodes) 5.6mm TO18 size. This part is much thicker and bigger then the Original for Thermal dissapation. The measurements inside is the same as the Aixiz modual case which uses the M9x0.5 threaded Glass Lens or Arcylic lens. This part too has 3 Fins and makes contace with the Outter piece for thermal reasons also.
Thirdly the part the has a rectangle cut into is with a square hole is for a small PCB for the LED indicator like the original Arctic case has, But Does not have the hole on the otherside for the LED switch. Although, exact same style switch will be offered later on, but it's not a smart switch, just a LED Tact switch. The part also has a more room inside then the Original AS case, This is the area where the Laser Driver will fit into and the LED indicator. There is a 2mm space when its screwed onto the next part with the Evolution logo. This is where the round board which will have a spring attached to the middle and the Ground wire touching the Case will be that is from the Driver.
Fourthly the End Tailcap is different to the Original AS, it comprises of 3 pieces, the outter piece and 2 round rings which is threaded inside. It pretty much the same concept as the Kryton barrel. The silicone Switch Cap will go in first, follow by a Aluminum threaded ring which will hold the silicone Cap in place and provide a spacing for the Clicky Switch. Next the Click switch goes in and the top of the Clicky switch will stick out through the ring, and the Plastic Heavy Duty ring will go in next to hold the switch in place and the spring from the switch will stick out through the plastic centre hole. It has been changed and thought of carefully before these changes were made to make the Host easy to build, there's no point in making a good host which is hard to build like i found with the Arctic Spyder. When you hold this Barrel and compare it to the original one, you will see that it is a very solid and well made host, not held together with thermal glue like the original one. So thats the layout.
Evoloution Proto VX Host Options.
During the machining Process which will commence in 1 week because i have to tweak alittle here and there to get the barrel perfect for production, you can Pay in advance and Pick the Color of Anodizing, and if you want the Logo Laser Etched onto the barrel or not. Those are already included in the cost so there is NO extra's for it, unless you want somthing else engraved onto it which will be $7.50 extra.
There will be a series of 2x Styles following the Evolution Proto VX, which will be roughly the same size and length and will be interchangable with the Evolution Proto VX host to create a different look. It's in the process of development and will be available once the Evolution VX barrel is in the stock.
ANODIZING COLORS.
The color for Anodizing will be Black and Silver exactly like in the pictures of the samples. The only thing is that it will be Sand Blasted in the Production Run. I Also wanted to have White, but i want your feedback on what should be the 3rd Color.
There will be NO Splash Effect or anything else besides solid colors.
INCLUDED PARTS.
Whats included is the 10 piece Part which will be put together to form the Evolution Proto VX barrel.
500cm of 24AWG Silicone wire in Red,Black,Blue and White, so total will be 2 Meters Length.
1x Round PCB board with a Spring Soldered onto it which will fit into the barrel to make contact with the Top Positive of the Lithium 18650 Battery.
1x Silicone Switch Covers or as many might know it as the Aixiz Dust covers.
1x Clicky Switch. These might need modifictions inside to handle the current for the 445nm diodes and High Powered BluRays.
1x 405nm-445nm Glass Lens.

PARTS NEEDED FOR COMPLETE BUILD.
There are many great sellers that sells laser diodes and drivers on this forum, you only need to take afew minutes and find them. I get my diodes and drivers from Styro and Jibs Drivers from Jib or Mohrenberg i think thats how you spell it?
Diode of your choice. Must be in the following size pacakage(5.6mm TO18)
Laser Driver of Choice (i will be offering drivers later on)
Lithium 18650 Battery or 2x 16340 Size Lithium Batteries.

PRICING is in AUD (Australian Dollars) ONLY.
I will NOT be shipping to AFRICA and to Italy because of high probability of parcels going missing.
Price $165AUD Including Shipping for upto 2 Barrels. Each extra barrel will be $7.50 ontop. Unfortunately the weight goes up and so does the shipping cost.
Shipping Within Australia will NOT cost any extra's until you past 5 Hosts Barrels.
Shipping Price is Worldwide via NORMAL Air Mail, Non Registered or Tracking. If you would like Tracking, then it only is available as Express, which will be approx $50+, but message me before payment.
If you would like to buy in larger quantities, just private message me and i will work out a price for you. Only for 5+ Barrels.

EVOLUTION VX Host on its own without the additional parts is LESSER $5.
PAYMENT
Payment will Only be through PayPal as we do not have Google Checkout here in Australia. Specify on the payment your Forum ID and the details of Qty and color.
Buyers from Australia can pay via Bank Deposit if you prefer. Details will be sent upon request.
I will be Excepting payments ORDERS now, and once the order has finished and arrived, They will Automatically be dispatched out to your Paypal Address. There is only 50 going to be made and sold so this just assure you reserve your Host. Remember you can only have it Anodized in a color of your choice upon advance payment because it has'nt been finished so you can choose to have it colored before it goes to anodizing.
When placing an order, PLEASE make sure you specify the Qty and the Color (Silver or Black or Third Color to be announce)
SHIPPING DETAILS
All shipping will be sent to your Paypal shipping address. If you have moved or changed address, then you also need to change it on the paypal details before sending through the payment.
All the parcel will be sent via Australia Post normal Airmail, which can take from 7-35 Days. Rarely has it taken longer than 2 weeks, but to be on the safe side i will list it at maxium time frame.
Once the Parcel has been sent, i will send the buyer the Customs Declaration number for the Parcel. This is NOT a tracking number but however will let the postal company trace the parcel if in the event it goes missing. You understand that by shipping via normal Air Mail that i will not be responsible for it taking along time or missing, If you have concerns about that then pay the extra cost for Tracking Express. I will however take it upon myself to help in contacting the postal company to track down the where abouts of the parcel and assist in anyway i can.
