crap im sorry guys.
well, how much do you guys think it should go for?
and ya just take your time then. ill lower the price.
but i dont know to how much.
is $150 shipped okay?

Deja Vu -- You need to go back through the B/S/T board to see how much a 100mW PHR laser is selling for here. I'm not saying it isn't a good build nor that it is not "worth" the price. I'm just saying that you are in a VERY cynical and experienced market here. You need to see if you want to sell your lasers here.

A phr in an aixiz module with a driver is maybe 40 shipped. If you add a box/batteries and fan you may be looking at 60+ shipping if you are lucky. I also dont want to be the one to do this but someone has to...Im sure it is a great build :)

EDIT: Post 660 :D

haha thanks =]

i did but this isnt just a 100mW PHR.. its in a box with three switches,a fan, and a ddl driver.

EDIT: gonna post pics in a little bit. they gotta upload.

daguin- i dont want to lower the price to much because me and my neighbor want an actual profit out of this.
he invested in everything and i built a lot of it.
we wanna share the money equally.
and not equally so we barely make any money.
im not trying to sound like an ass, and im sorry if i am,
but i dont want to disappoint my neighbor by having him find out this was a waste of money if were only gonna be makin 10 bucks profit.

ebay is where you need to go.. like Dave said, this is a tough market here on LPF. You would have a much greater chance of selling them on ebay. Since it's a lab-style laser it isn't against their rules to sell it. Just mark it as being for OEM use.

I dont want to sound like an ass either, but you will NOT get $150 for this. You would be lucky to get $70. If you add a heatsink you might get more but face it: its a box laser. People arent willing to spend $150 on a box laser. They wont even spend that much on a laser in a flashlight host(Phr).

10 bucks profit is better than no profit.

It doesn't have anything to do with anyone being an ass. As I said, it would be worth more in some other venue. What you "want" or even "need" doesn't matter nearly as much as what the market is willing to pay.

For ~$180 a person can get a 190mW 6X based hand held laser in the B/S/T board of this forum. Also, this is called Laser POINTERS Forum. Yes, some other types of lasers are sold here, but most people do not want to buy a project box type laser that they can put together with our help for $50.

I'm not telling you to lower your price. I'm telling you to adapt to the market you have chosen to sell in. Your laser would be worth more in some other, less experienced venue.

Sorry to put you down but, yeah... LPF prices have gone down quite a lot. People pay a lot for kits and drivers and things, but for some reason builds don't earn quite much money, especially lab-style builds. Maybe if it was more powerful and was fan & TEC cooled, inside an aluminum enclosure, with an Analog/TTL driver, then maybe it'd sell.. otherwise, I think it's best to either keep it, sell to friends, or sell on Ebay. =/

Flashlight hosts are more strongly built and have better heat sinking than your unit. In addition these have either the flexdrive or the Rkcstr drive. Finally, DAoO has a better reputation than you have here. And yes, reputation is worth money

As you re-read through the B/S/T board, notice the average price for a project box type laser as compared to a hand held laser.

You can't take it off (delete it), only a mod can IIRC. But besides, it's alright, this type of post has happened before. It lets other new member know too.
