I am renaming the laser because there as a little stirrup.
I am also sending the laser to some-one for a output verification.
If the laser isn't outputting 2.5 Watt or higher at any point I will refund the money completely and you may keep the laser. :D
This laser is no longer for sale. Ask RHD for availability and pricing, thanks !
***edit***

Here is my latest build. It is a very solid host with two 3.7v 26650 li-ion batteries. This host is so massive, it dwarfs the C6 host as you can see in the picture. All components are high quality. :gj:

The head of the laser is the 445nm 9mm diode which really shines in this host. The diode is put in the long copper module which has a specially made lens barrel. The AR coated lens is the same as the high-power stock lens of the 9mm diode.
The massive aluminium heatsink connects the module to the host.

The heart is pumped by the Lazeerer X-drive. The driver is set at 2160mA and it is very stable. The driver is heatsinked to the internal brass pill. Because of this buck driver the efficiency is better than a linear driver.
The total runtime with two fully charged 26650 batteries is around 2 hours. That is amazing.
I recommend the operating runtime is 3min/1min on/off.
The safety goggle is a MUST when using this laser !!

You will get :

2.5+ Watt 445nm blue Laser.
2x 3.7v 4000mAh Rechargeable 26650 batteries brand KING KONG.
Ultrafire WF-188 charger
Laser Safety Goggle

I am asking $310 for the laser.

Registered shipping worldwide is $30
Registered shipping Europe is $20
PM if you want one or have any questions.

***the person must be 18 years or older and know the laser safety rules***

The LPM is used with a four filters. These array of filter reduced the beam to 69.7%. So the real output must be multiplied by 1.43
The laser output is minimum 2.5 Watt during the 3 minutes run.

Re: For sale : NEW 2.5+Watt Sabre blue laser, very solid !

Really?

Host is one thing, but you're even copying the name I came up with?

Wow.....

I didn't know you have copyrighted the name. I shall rename the host with pleasure :)

Well come on... even if you put aside the whole "building in someone else's signature host" debate (which has been discussed to death and isn't worth talking about anymore), it's just plane lame to copy the exact name too. Even the Chinese gadget sites don't copy the exact name when they're cloning a product.

Anyway, good luck with your sale. It's a great host :)

Man come up with your own hosts and especially own names, there are manymany out there.

I can even send you a list of hosts not used yet by the big builders (lazeerer, rhd..) :)

Nice looking laser. Please please please please with the proceeds of the sale of this laser purchase yourself a LPM that can properly measure the higher powered lasers you are selling.

Re: For sale : NEW 2.5+Watt 445nm blue laser, very solid !

The other hosts are been build right now. It happens that I finish this build first.
I can show you the pictures if you like but they are not finish yet.

Btw I find the hosts by my own. I never asked anybody to show me the link to a specific host.
Other way round people do asked me for a link for a host I build and I happily provide it to them.

Bluefan is making an 5Watt Ophir LPM but it will be finish in 2 month. Till then I am willing to send it to a middle man to confirm the output. I stand behind the output of all my lasers.

Oh dude - you can't be doing that kind of stuff with lasers you're selling.

That "LPM" setup may sort of work, for getting a somewhat ballpark sense of the output of a laser you're building for yourself. But you can't be using those figures to sell a laser to a 3rd party. That's not cool.

Host recycling issue aside, you really can't / shouldn't be advertising "2.5W" lasers when you don't actually have a proper LPM to measure the output power with. That's really questionable.

You came up with the exact same host and exact same name as rhd by your own? Maaan ;)
People have different mentalities, and reputable builders should respect that.

If the buyer would like to know the exact output, I can act as a middle man. I´m in the possession of a 5W Ophir LPM.

I sent the laser to Smeerworst as he is local to me. He has also a 5W Ophir LPM.

Re: For sale : NEW 2.5+Watt Black Mamba, very solid blue laser !

As many of us are hobbyist and enjoy building and posting pics of the evolution of our skillz this host thing brings up a good point, one that I would like to address... whats with the twist people have when the same host shows up in a build???.:cryyy:

I would say that the typical journeyman on LPF might sell a laser here and there, but there are many that seem to want to sell one a week... I don't know or care really. My point is sometimes when I order a host it might take weeks even months to arrive. There are many other factors also... parts, materials, even artistic compilation. I have many builds put on the back burner just because I don't have the time. When somebody BEATS me to a host that I have had plans to do a build with, or simply because I like it , sorry in advanced, I'm going to use it(FYI I collect... I hate selling my lasers, I do love to gift them however:bday:)

I know there are some offset issues for sellers, but when one names a host other than what the factory has "officially" named it the issue, so it seems, is some members have become protective like it's a copyright type of ownership:thinking:. To me if there was a category here on LPF for
"professional builders" or people who sell a laser either to make some extra bucks or to finance the next build, then so be it, only then I can see it as an issue.:undecided:

Guess what I'm trying to say is when has this place become so seller competitive that when one builder uses a host then that unit is off the books for the rest of us????

I will use jayrob for an example::shhh:

Jay tutorials his builds (I bet that takes just as long as building):yh:. If you, at the end feel confident enough, build it, if not, then buy it from him (he goes as far as a hot option). There is an olé saying... copying is the highest form of flattery, the actual quote is (pasted:na:) Imitation is the sincerest of flattery.

At the end of the day I'M just asking if we can get back to complementing a build when it merits it:bowdown: and get away from the thought that just because you used that host last year or a month ago it's your host:tsk:.

P.S. I understand about plagiarism and all, but sometime/most of the time you have to just eat it... an exception would be if you own a laserpointer business or something:beer: cause thats gonna be what puts shoes on your kids feet:na:. Thanks for reading:beer:

In the case of Jayrob´s kits, don´t think that he´ll be happy about if I buy his CR2 keychain kits somewhere else and selling it then.

jay kits sell themselves. Quality + reputation. Some things you can't compete with, but if you were to build one and post it I'm sure he would complement you on it.

Re: For sale : NEW 2.5+Watt Black Mamba, very solid blue laser !

Man, this went downhill fast.

RHD: I'd like to apologise if copying the name of the host is offensive in any way - Blord came to me asking if I could make heatsinks for several new finds on a website, among which I recognised the host that's the same as what you used to sell, and I instantly refered it to as "Sabre" host. I mean, you were the first to find it, and name it, and I thought it shouldn't be renamed, so it kind of stuck.

Heatsink in that laser is made by your original designs sent to me some time ago, also. Can't blame a good host for being popular, right? :p

In short, you can demand cease and desist on the heatsink sales from me - if anybody else wants to make a laser in this same host (which is what you'd like to avoid, AFAIK, correct?), they'd need to first find the host, order it, design the heatsink, and have it made by somebody other than me.

This should pretty much secure that the few lasers that are in the Sabre host already stay that way - a few. I would honor such a request without a second thought.
Cool?

This recently happened to me. I had a host that has been sitting on my workbench for nearly a year now. I never had a lathe to make the heatsink for it and didn't feel like having it converted since it was such a nice flashlight. Well I got my lathe a couple weeks ago and made the heatsink but as it turns out they host had recently been used by another member. Of course I didn't try to make mine look exactly like his, nor did I copy the name, nor did I offer to build more of them for those who wanted one. Here is the link to what i am talking about... http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/1-5w-smallsun-stainless-steel-445nm-169-a-76586.html
Sometimes it happens by chance, I think most of us here understand that. This obviously isn't a pattern for me which I think is why RHD didn't take offence. Plus I basically gave him credit and even plugged his sale before my own.
