Im selling my milling machine, its going to be a sad day when this mill actually gets taken away :(
its a used chester tools conquest milling machine full spec is here -

Chester Machine Tools - Conquest Mill Super

its somewhat bad timing for me to sell as chester currently have a sale on and this machine is £100 cheaper than what i paid for it.

its in full working order and runs very well, its only two years old and i suppose for a mill it hasnt had a lot of use.two years old isnt old for a mill, its only just been run in, its been well looked after and regulary oiled.

it comes with all the tooling and vice as if bought new from chester tools plus it has some extras. as standard it comes with a 13mm chuck but you can get up to a 16mm chuck or a collet set.

it comes with this vice not the one thats current on the bed -

One problem with these small mills is back lash, Mr Briggs has had a good go at getting rid of as much back lash as possbile. but there still lots in the x and z axis, so i fitted the mill with DRO's on all axis so you can mill things to 0.01 of a MM. the X and Y are on a movable arm and the z is fixed to the side -

it has also been fitted with a X2 Mini-mill belt drive kit belt drive kit. the mill as standard takes the drive from the motor and its goes through two plastic cogs inside the machines, these are noisy, easy to break and not very smooth. so you fit the belt drive kit to get rid of some noise, to over come the cogs breaking and make it run smoother. you can read full details on their web site, i also have a spare belt which is included in the sale.

the only other accessory the mill comes with is this bed clamping kit, its only been used three times so brand new really -

i think most have seen the sort of things the mill can produce, its an excellent starter machine. is even milled and drilled big 300mm by 300mm base plates on this mill.

if bought new the mill currently from chester is £455 (that is with any VAT or delivery added), the dro's are currently £150 for all three, the belt drive kit is £110 and the clamping kit £50

so a total of £765 (without the VAT on the mill so add another £90 for that if bought new). also add a entire day for fitting the belt drive kit and milling the bits and fitting all three dro's.

i would accept £600 for the lot.

cheers

In which town do you live in UK? I'm coming to the UK next week but we may not be in the same town.. I'm considering the price, it is very good..
