So I recently came into a projector for cheap on eBay and was planning on just reselling it, but wanted to see if maybe you guys wanted the diodes before pulling the trigger and just selling it off. Like my group buy a few months ago, this is for the Nichia NDB7875 diodes with the 'G9' lenses. Also, shipping and fees would be included (international varies per usual).
The only reason I am considering selling the thing whole is because I feel like with the new 5W capable diodes on the market, there won't be much interest in the 3W ones. Just thought I'd check before tossing it up on eBay
Since there seems to be interest in ones that are already press-fit, I'll post a Google Doc to keep track. Make sure to post what you want specifically, only because there are certain things like: Press fitting, putting the lens in a lens holder or keeping it in its original retainer, etc.
This will also be like my last group buy, so if you just want the module/lens holders and don't want me to press them let me know that too in the notes.
Google Doc
Again, make sure you do fill out the Notes portion to let me know how you want them... pressed/not pressed/lenses in original retainer/in lens holder.
Pricing:
Diode - $43
Modules - $5
Lens Holders - $7
Putting Lens in the Lens Holder - +$2.50
****Lens Questions
Okay, so what I mean by keeping the lens in its original retainer is this, look at this photo (Photo credit - DTR). In order to press the diode in the module (if that is what you desire), I have to remove the lens' original retainer (the metal piece adhered to the diode). Now, after that, I can put the lens in a bag, but it will still be in that retainer (they are glued in), so you would have to take it upon yourself to remove it however you deem necessary. The other option would be to have me take it out and place it in the lens holder. Last time I did it, I didn't use any alcohol (needs to be a high concentration, which I didn't have at the time) and it was extremely difficult to get out and place it in the lens holder (there was still glue on the edges so it was a very tight fit into the lens holder). This time I will use alcohol, but the possibility of me damaging on of the lenses is still there, which is the only reason I am charging it as a service. Pressing the modules is easy as anything so I'll do that at no cost and the chance of damaging anything is slim to none. End of explanation.
