Looking for a good low priced laser diode, I rather buy off forum members than from main companys or from China.
NEEDED:
640nm @ 200mw OR a 650 nm @ 200mw sealed or open can diode.
perfer 640nm diode but will make due with a 650nm.

Will buy or trade for it.

I think he does want to build one. He's asking for a diode alone, so I bet he wants to do the whole thing from scratch - diode, aixiz, driver, host/heatsink...

Oh ya! I do not buy sissy made products"meaning plug and play" I am a DIY guy and owen GODSLIGHT SHOWS.COM, I need to repair a small 500mw rgb projector that the 650nm diode crashed.. I would like to go for an up grade of 650nm to 640nm to give a better color pallet and a better white balance (Artic white). a 640nm will do this very well if I can get one without a $27. --$40. price tag that dose not include a shipping cost of 8 times the value paid and 30 days waiting for arival if it dose arive from China.
I want a 640nm but in the better end will settle for a 650nm.
BTW what is an APPLIIANCE OPPERATOR?

The LPC sleds in the group buy would probably be your best option. You could buy 10 at a time because they're not too expensive. The diodes are 650nm and can go up to about 200-300mW I think. The 640nm diodes, or rather 635nm, are substantially more expensive and harder to obtain than the 650nm variety, because they're not being made for DVD burning. I would stick with the 650nm diodes unless you're willing to shove out a few hundred dollars for a module.
