i just saw your offer phoenix, and i agree that your offer was a perfectly good and generous one, which he should have accepted.

as far as the whole begging thing goes, if i can help a new member get into the hobby then i will. I, along with alot of other people here have empty sleds laying around that will never get used, these IR diodes are useless to me and i didn't mind paying $1.40 to mail them (i spend more on the homeless people begging on the corner)

if he is just a leech who buys $200 worth of lasers then begs for free stuff then it will come back to bite him in the ass. people will notice this and he'll find himself not receiving any help in the future.

either way, i just think all of this arguing could of been easily avoided, and the energy better spent on other things, like masturbating

Its not new user bashing, its weeding out the people who deserve the time, info, and help people give. Obviously LM has failed this test on many levels of the forum, and not just from the people on his thread. This kid has been lying all over the forum.

Here is a post on some of my personal experience w/ forum members... I was treated
very well on the purchasing ...exchanged funds, got bono with my orders...

then I noticed that w/ quick payments no whining and patience in delivery things just fell into place.

In respects to some noOb bashing ya I got allot of that and wear that badge proudly.
I went from 2 or 3 laser purchased (From retailers) to mostly DIY's now and better for it.

This forum for me has been just what I needed when I needed it. It has come full circle for me as I have helped out people in all ways and will continue to do so...

The people I have helped have supported me in the thing I post. Is this not the whole purpose of the entity. My suggestion is, LM continue on your new way of
posting the apology is well noted and deserving, now go and contribute.

I can honestly say that I was never bashed when I first started on this forum...Everyone was more than happy to help with any of the questions that I had and I greatly appreciated that. Now I must admit that I did do a great deal of research before I asked any questions, but that is besides the point.

Now, I have come to find that many of the great vetran forum members who did help me when I first started in this forum have moved on to other forums. This does sadden me, but I feel that with the knowledge that I had received from them, I can now stand up and take their spot and try to help out as many people as I can on here....with out complaining. Granted, I am not going to spoon feed anyone, but I will most definitly help anyone who truely needs the help.

I have had someone help me out when the times where hard for me and I have come to greatly appreciate this persons help and friendship. That person also helped me stay in this fun hobby that I love.

I guess what I am trying to say is when some one is new on the forum and you treat them kindly, this will reflect at a later time when that person also decides to contribute to the forum by helping others from the knowledge that he or she has gained from you.

I was never bashed either, and I'm pretty new here.

^^ That's good. Learn as much as you can and be sure to share that knowledge with others when it's needed.
