Hey everyone,
I know I had an old thread on an older AtMaLinear but that one only came
In 2 currents, was 12x9mm so it was bigger & less adjustable, also it dropped more V then this new one :).

Now the new AtMaLinear 1.2 only drops 2.3V at 250mA and a max of 2.5V at 1200mA, I've even had success running some low power reds off a single cell with this. Although I still recomend 2 as once the battery hits ~3.4V the current will start dropping off... These are adjustable from 50-1200mA via a potentiometer on the underside of the driver, only one part needs heatsinking as the resistors & pot can handle more current then this driver can output max :)
This driver is only 11mm x 8mm  :D

It's not as efficient as the bucks that there are these days but it's definelty economical :D and tiny ;)

Any diode that takes less then 1.9V would work off a fully charged Li-ion ;)

Order page is here
At the moment they are not ready to ship, as soon as a total of at least 5 orders come then they will be ready within 2 days to ship to you :) I have sold these before though, just a very small round. So they do work good :)

So will this run a 300mw 638 off 1x cell fine then? And at what point do they require heatsinking?

Nice price! Can you run two of them in parallel eg for a 500 mW 635 Mits at around 1.4 - 1.5 A?

@dpup, with a 635 it can but not with high output,
See here
It really depends what you have it set at
This video is from DTR, he tested it, that driver is set for 710mA, as you see, there is light at 3.3V, but it is only about 120mA then 3.8V 300mA, so I recomend 2 cells, but for any diode that takes less then 1.9V will run of a single cell with a fully charged battery ;)

Grainde, I don't recomend parraleling them, I have not had good results, ;)

It needs to be heatsinked when dropping more then 3V, so if you are running a red using 2 16340 then heatsinking it to the pill is fine

Just doing that with thermal adhesive on the ic will be plenty ;)
Also you can see how tiny it is in that picture :D

hey AnthoT

Is your driver a voltage or current regulator?

Current, depending on the diode that's how the voltage goes ;)

Hello I just purchased one of your drivers off your site and when I went to pay through PayPal I noticed that it hadn't added on the shipping charge, what do? I live in New Zealand by the way.
