I'm actually more intrigued by the fiber cable. I've never actually seen what happens when you use a laser with a fiber optic cable.

Do you get a collimated thin focussed beam out the other end?

Yes, but straight out of the fiber, it has terrible divergence.
Still, those products are interesting.

IIRC...you would need a ball lens at the end of the raw Fiber Optic
cable to collimate the laser's output...
