Cool. I've been looking to make an RGB, but current accommodation circumstances make that impossible for me. And I tell you I've never seen such a good deal on an RGB.

What am I missing? lol

Good to see you interested Murudai! I would have to let him down otherwise because I have just checked my credit card.. if I paid for this I would have a nice $200 overdraft, ouch.
I don't think you are missing anything, the sole worry is that the lasers are at much lower than advertised power, but it is still a really decent unit (and it only costs a bit more than the blue laser alone would cost).

I have a laser power meter so I can test to see how much they put out. But frankly, I've found that testing every single little mW on all my lasers kind of saps the hobby of some fun.

Sure, it's nice to know the powers, but I don't care really if it's 40mW or 50mW, if it's bright and awesome I don't care how powerful it is :D

Wowzers!!! I just checked shipping to AUS with the manufactures specified weight +2 packaging and the shipping is over $200 via usps express. But it is only that much to Australia. Everywhere else in the world is cheaper. I didn't realize that AUS was the most expensive place to ship stuff. I know I have shipped stuf there before express mail but it was only 1 pound, not 31 pounds. I guess it makes a huge difference. I will check with some other carriers. I am willing to pay for $100 worth of shipping but no more than that.

USPS Express is about the fastest way to ship things, of course it's going to be super expensive. I don't need this thing in a hurry, I'm happy to wait. Get the slowest, cheapest shipping you can (but still the safest).

Still though, if I pay $800 USD, which includes $100 for shipping then your $100 too should cover that. But yeah, find a slower shopping method.

Oh cool. I thought that if your package was over a certain weight you coule only ship using express. I will look into it.

Yeah it's just a standard optical illusion, but it works on everyone and all the time which is pretty sweet.
Wow, more than $200 shipping.. that's insane :S Sometimes I forget that all us LPF'ers are so far away from each other.

No there isn't. We are all Americans. Some of us have just moved to other countries. That is the only explanation.

Heh. Well as soon as you get a reasonable quote on shipping, I'll make a decision on purchasing this thing, but most likely a 'yes' :)

This system is capable of analogue modulation however you will need a DAC to use that function.

Just verifying (because the video doesn't show it) that this is in fact a full analogue scanner, right? The DAC I have is only 12kpps, but it is full RGB and it does support analogue, so it would be great if it is Analogue.

Yeah the video is made with the pre-programed show already inside the box. All you do is turn it on and it starts doing the laser show. It is analogue. I will go ahead and package the laser and get it shipped out to you the cheapest method from USPS. Go ahead and pay just the $700 for now and then I will let you know what the shipping is after I send it out. I will not charge you a dime more than I pay for shipping and I will make sure that you don't spend more than your $800 limit. Sounds fair?

Sounds okay to me. I just sent $1000 AUD to my Paypal (it'll be 7 days), that's about $800 USD. Though... it might be a little less than that, like $760 USD, because I forgot that Paypal takes a share when you change currencies...
