I am ordering more 6X diodes. These will be carefully pulled from the sleds and sent in ESD bags using ESD safe procedures. They will still be in the heat sink unless you make a special arrangement with me.  I would like to know how many are needed, as I can't afford to buy many right now. 6X diodes for $50 ea. pair, you'll get the 405 nm & red one too. Thanks and Best Wishes -Glenn

Everyone, Bear with me please!  I had no idea the supplier would default on having the sleds he said were there for us, but it has occurred to me that many of you may want to get the 803T diodes or make some other arrangements with me.

Refunds sent!

Re: 6X Diodes $50 ea. in heat sink

Would you put it in a Aixiz module for like 65$ ?

would you put them in a aixiz module with a driver board set at 200mA? if so how much would you charge?

Re: 6X Diodes $50 ea. in heat sink

i'd prolly end up taking one if you could work it out before the end of the third batch of amk's gb and guarantee that you'll take it out all feather-like and pack it well  ::)

EDIT: just to clarify, it's the 6x bluray diode + 16x red diode for $50 shipped?

Yes that is with ConUS shipping. PP fee and ins, extra.

What exactly is the difference between 6X diodes and the PHR diodes? I planned on buying a bluray so just want to know my options.

6X diodes are stronger than PHR diodes.

You can safely run a 6x at 200mA for 200mW (250mW with a 405nm coated lens) while with an 803T, going over 175mA is usually considered pushing it.

Re: 6X Diodes $50 ea. in heat sink

Does anyone have a good picture comparing 100mw(PHR) to say 200mW (6X). I'm really just into the colors of lasers and if 6X is alot brighter then PHR i might consider one.

Safely?
I'm not quite sure about that...
I will run mine at 180-190mA just to be safe.

Isn't 200mA what IgorT was running his at? I guess that is pushing it a little, but I bet after we have Dave push some of these things, 200mA will seem too weak. ;D

I'm going to run mine at 200mA so it is a decent step up from the 803Ts, hopefully I get my lavadrive not too long after my 6x sled.

Re: 6X Diodes $50 ea. in heat sink

Igort said his running his at 200mW but even at that power output its starting to lose its power abit and is staying at around 186mW.

Like Spyder said 180mw seems to be a good number.

LaserWanabe the Phr diodes were sold for around $30 when we start buying them, but than after all the GB and ndrew and many others got them cheaper with the broken sled, we get them for around $18 now. The 6X BR diode only couple of people on the forums has built due to its price cause they had to buy the whole dvd burner $300 and extract it. where as if you buy them from ScoopeGuy for $50. They are stronger than the phr diodes by about 60-70mW keeping it a safe range.

Could we get the sled if we pay the difference in shipping?

Re: 6X Diodes $50 ea. in heat sink

We havn't even verified beyond a doubt that these sleds are the same as whats in a 6X. I'm waiting for verification.

I might buy a diode in an AixiZ module. I need to make sure you are doing this for sure.
