hey there guys, I have a 445nm diode in module. The catch is the module is only half threaded (thanks aixiz) This is the second time I have encountered this with a 445nm diode in module. You think I would learn to check the threading first. Anyhow I am not going to try to get the diode out but I know many of you here have the tools to do so also you could probably get a tap and finish threading this. Price shipped for this item will be
$30

very tempting. It would take me about 2 minutes to pop the diode out and thread the module.

hmm you would need a diode extraction press.
if you threaded it with the diode in there you could ruin the window.
Why not just buy an extraction press its just a piece of brass or steel that goes over the can.
you can get one made and shipped for 15$
seems a good investment due to losing around that on this sale
