40mW 635nm Single Mode Highly Polished Pen "No Longer For Sale"

Hey All,

For Sale: A"40mW" 635nm laser in a Highly Polished Pen Host



This is a very special laser. The reason is that its using one of those 40mW Sanyo single mode 635nm diodes that where available sometime ago but are pretty much rare now. Since its Single Mode you will get a Nice Dot. The Laser has received a very Highly Polish Job to it by me to a mirror finish. "I call this the lazeerer touch":eg: It is using a AR coated Acrylic lens and runs off 2x 1.5V AAA Cells.

The laser is Focusable but the way i made the front end look makes it appear that its fixed focus. When screwed in all the way it is set for infinity. The Laser is Case Positive which means the cells go in Negative first and the + of the battery goes to wards the tail cap. This laser performs best when a little warm so this mean it has Long Duty cycle of 2-3 minutes on 1 minute off with this laser.

6x 1.5v AAA Energizer Batteries
1x Battery case
1x Microfiber Cloth
1x Dust cap


-1 Month Warranty on the diode - 2 month on the driver/click.
As long as you dint cause the damage, Abused the laser, Run it longer then the said duty cycle, Dropped it or show any signs of aggressive & carless usage i will replace that part fully on me under the Warranty time frame above...
Warranty will be voided if you attempt to open the laser. There is a Void Seal that if you try and unscrew the Head it will break that seal. SO PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THE LASER. Thank You.

Thanks. Its a Great pen style laser.

To bad getting more of these diodes is pretty much not going to happen unless we get lucky as IIRC they dont make them anymore.

Idk about others, but to me the long duty cycle is actually rather refreshing.

How's the beam visibility without fog?

Thanks Buddy. It was Hard letting this one go after i built it. I was going to keep it for myself but i figure someone else would enjoy it more right now.

Its brighter then a 660nm laser without fog thats for sure. Aswell can tell the diffrence between them.

It all depends on the User to be honest. I will always recommand the use of safety goggles on any laser usage however i do not where them all the time.

If the laser is down in a fixed position and you know for sure it wont fall over i dont wer goggles on certain power laser as well as holding them in my hand if i feel iam in a ok environment i dont wear them. I also rarely wear goggles when iam outside.

Well, its always good to recommend it always but there is times where I feel ok enough to not use them.

This laser uses a single mode diode so the dot and beam is nice and tight.


Its a very nice pointer that took me nearly 6 hours to polish.

Thanks Guys. You have been on this forum long enough to know that had this laser been for sale 6 months ago people woulds have shot someone to get a laser with this diode for this price.

Not even sure why iam letting this go for this low. Guess its the Holidays in me.
