I can't tell - are these the right size to use in an aixiz module, or are they just the glass ?

Just glass you would want to modify an Aixiz threaded nut like Jay does.

^^^ I was wondering the same thing. If it's just the glass, where does everyone get the brass M9x0.5 barrel to put the lens in?

Edit: Thanks DTR! You beat me to the punch.

It is the G-1 lens, just not placed inside its brass holder :)

Any idea on how to modify the holders for the G-1's?

I have 10x of the Aixiz blank metal M9x0.5 lenses (from Aixiz). Can I just put these in those mounts, or do I need to fabricate spacers/sleeves, etc?

I think you need a spacer since the original lens was three element and this one is just two. I think Jay flips the lens too, I'm not really sure why.

Here is a post from Jay. He drills out the cell so the lens will fit and makes a flat lip for it to sit on. Then he uses a custom made spacer/sleeve so it holds the lens in place.;)

In other words - probably beyond the abilities of someone with a hand drill, and nothing more. Not sure how I would fabricate a spacer.

LASER66 - do you have any insight on how to use these lenses / mount them in an M9x0.5? Surely many of your buyers need to do exactly that?

Was thinking exactly the same thing. If this was the lens with it's holder, I'd be all over it for that price. However the work involved to mount it in an existing module is far greater then I am willing to even consider. (More so because of my lack of tools. :) )

Agreed!

For that matter, i'm surprised laser 66 doesn't offer some way of making these more easily utilized in traditional M9x0.5 housings.
