This is a 200 Mw red burner, long open can diode in a Dorcy tactical host.
Diode is driven by an AMC7135 @ 350 Ma, housed in an Aixxis module with glass lens all of which is set in an aluminum heat sink. This laser has been tested to put out a consistent 198 Mw's and should give a long service life. The price of this will be $150.00 US dollars including free shipping in the United States, payment via Paypal only.
PM me if you are interested. Catmandoo

Really nice.

Kind of expensive for a red burner though when you can get a complete module for under 45 bux.

If you reduce the price I may consider it. Good luck

In my opinion it's a great price for a 200MW red! ;D

Seriously though, seems to be a nice laser, but it is a little on the expensive side according to me as well.

This is a post previously posted making reference to this particular laser, thought it might be informative. CMD

Re: Aixiz Glass Lenses-- How much better?
Reply #13 - May 7th, 2008, 9:15am    Ok...sorry for the delay, but here are the results!

First, I need to say that I really like this dorcy host!
Very similar to the MXDL's I use, and actually seem to be of higher quality!

The laser did indeed arrive in good form.
I installed batteries and quickly checked to make sure the laser survived the postal system.
It did indeed have the glass lens installed.

Today I completed testing, and got the following readings.

Test#1 glass lens = 198mW peak.

Test#2 Acrylic lens with opened back =189mW peak

Test#3 Acrylic lenc with closed back = 174mW

Finally, I did a control test with the glass lens again to make sure any change in power was not due to battery sag
Test#4 Control glass lens = 195mW peak

Looks like there is a definate advantage to the glass lens at least in red lasers.
If there is one negative to the glass lens, it would have to be that it fits the threads in the AixiZ body loosely.
This should be easily compensated for by very carefully flatten a few threads in the brass lens holder.

Hope this info helps!!!

7, 10, 12 posts, what do these guys know? I think it's a very sharp build and if I had the itch to buy another red burner, I would put it near or at the top of my list. You can get more mW's and lot's of flaky builds, but a fine laser is a joy and a thing of beauty to behold! Thanks for your offer catmandoo. Too bad it's not appropriately appreciated, (so far)! -Glenn

If you are going to play on the interwebz, you better develop a much thicker skin then. Puffing up your chest may get you somewhere in the real world, but on the interwebz it means nothing.

Peace,
dave

Sorry dave, i jsut care to much about what some people say, good advice though.

I teach human communication for a living.

However, in these situations this old nursery rhyme is as good a guide for action as any "behavior alteration message" theory I know:

Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But words will never hurt me

Peace,
dave
