I am putting my 1w Spartan from dragon lasers up for trade and I'm entertaining offers at the moment, looking for 635nm 532nm or possibly a HeNe.... its 4 in the morning so ill post pics around noon CST. Every reasonable offer will be considered. Thanks for looking :)

BTW this laser was purchased Oct. 2012, there is a serial number written on the face of the brass ring that holds the module, it reads 120712, which i assume is military format for the date "july 12, 2012" ive put about 45 minutes use altogether on this laser

I know you are entertaining offers but it would at the very least help if we knew what color you'd most likely be interested in :)

ahhh very true, either 532nm or 635nm but it depends.... those are top choice for me but i wouldnt turn down the right 445nm or 405nm but yeah, green and red are top picks for me.

This Is the only BUMP.
I am still looking to trade this laser. Looking for a 635/650 or 532nm but I wouldn't turn down a 445 either. Btw if needed a trusted vet can be used as a 3rd party/middleman.

Not that you would consider it, but I have a 800mw 445nm Romison laser that I bought from dave (daugin) a while back that I would be willing to trade. But of course it is a lower power than the one you are offering.

That's a nice build and is definitely a considerable offer, is it 800mW with a 3 element lense?

To be honest I don't know. I took some pics of it

Now it is currently disabled as some wires have snapped off from each other. Here is a thread i made about it so you can see what is going on. http://laserpointerforums.com/f51/removing-diode-heatsink-79389.html
My brother is a wiz with soldering so thats not an issue. Just letting you know that it is currently not working but I will post pictures of the soldering job of so you can see it. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the spartan focusable? I have never really seen one or let alone searched them. I do know however that they are great lasers.

This laser looks neat. What kind of trades would you be taking? Laser for laser or cash or random items? :D

Yea I saw that thread the other day. Let me know when your bro fixes it. That looks like a 405 g lense. It's not focusable either btw supposedly DL is working on a new beam expander but don't asphyxiate yourself waiting for it. I'm looking for a laser for laser trade for the most part. Unless you got an ophir 20c head laying around. :D

Edit: that may just be a 3 element in a brass lense nut.

My brother is gonna be working on it today. Since it isn't focusable I'll think about it as I am more of a burner guy. How bad is the beam diveragence (or how ever you spell that :p )

Not 100% on the divergence, ill look it up. The beam specs are great though, nice and tight at the aperture. Btw to anyone not familiar with this laser, the lense is recessed into the module which in turn is situated about 1/2 of an inch away from the opening. The Spartan also has a dust cap making it very difficult to stain or scratch the lense. I call it a utility laser.

Alright, I thought about it and reviewed the spartan more and decided that I am willing to trade. You have a PM.

does the spartan have corrective optics or something? ive never seen a 445 with a tight beam at aperture..

Edit:
Or does 447nm have anything to do with it?

It's got a nice tight beam that's all. Like a 405G but better divergence.
