Hey all, so this is the sale thread I mentioned here about these drivers;

http://laserpointerforums.com/f67/elasti-drive-intro-v1-v2-77517.html

They can handle two or one li-ion batteries. These are great for either LPC-826's or 12x blu-ray builds. Alternatively, if you buy two of them you can also parallel them for higher output current as well.

Price per is $15.99 (plus $1.69 shipping)

Check the most recent post to see what's for sale!

Only because the current settings are a little unattractive IMO and we'd rather wait for the coming adjustable micro's :yh: If a couple of those was set to either 300mA or 1.25A-1.5A I definitely would have bought already. GL :beer:

There's actually a reason why I didn't opt for a higher current output;

Because the newer boards that are coming in (both micro's and V1a's) have a blank copper pad on the back of the board, which greatly greatly increases heatsinkability.

I think the highest current output I would be happy going on these specific boards would be around 800-900 mA. That's about what I have in my 445 nm build without a heatsink. And I haven't tripped the thermal protection yet, so... Yep! :p

AKA, if there's a specific current you're looking for under 800 mA, I'll be happy to switch out the set resistor for you!

There's only two of these left, grab them before they're gone!

I'll take one of the 410's if there is one left. Send me a PM and I'll pay.

If it easy to set to another value I would take the last one. I have a bunch of low value smd resistors.

How low value exactly? I don't recommend making the driver go over 800 mA without the new boards with the blank copper pads on the back.

To figure out the output you divide 0.041 by whatever resistance you have. You'd just solder off the set resistor that's on the board, that's simple enough. :)

Perhaps for the upcoming drivers you could compile a short PDF file with this information (if there will be resistor adjusted versions, which resistor to change, its type, heat dessipation etc.) . It's funny I asked tstseele about adjusting the drivers in PM if I'd purchase it... No reply :(

I will be making a datasheet file soon enough, actually. I'll try poking Tom to tell him that you're interested in buying one, since I don't have any more boards to use.

All of these pre-production boards have been sold!

Thank you all for showing your interest in these. I'll be making more sometime soon with the newer boards once they get in 8D

Thanks, I'll wait for the second wave :)

Unfortunately, they are not.

We'll have more boards coming soon, so just be patient :)
