Just got mine today. 8 days from when I ordered it, awesome turnaround time. Surprised at how compact it is. Awesome build.

Many thanks Yobresal!

Sorry for the dumb question but is this laser compatible with 2x cr123 li-ion rechargeable 3.2v batteries?

I`ve a daguin`s 1w 445nm diode that i bought long time ago and i`ve never played with it.

Do I need anything else to build a laser with this diode and your Blue-Ice KIT ???

Is the driver already connected to the case and everything? Just connect two wires to the two diode pins and ready to go ?

Not unless I use a buck driver instead of a boost. Which is not a problem.

It has to be a Barr diode so you can press it into the heatsink. After you connect the wires to the diode you will have a laser. You just need a lens and batteries.

If you use the buck driver will it reduce power output? And would the duty cycle be the same? Thanks for the quick reply. I am very interested in this laser and will probably order one on my next paycheck.

Oh and how would modes work on this laser? Is it like press the tail clicks and it turns on high power constant, click again and low power?

Hi there, I only make these with modes on rare occasion. It is not a normal option so please do not get confused. These come with just high mode. As for the driver and battery differences many people get confused. The output current and the lasers power output is THE SAME. The only difference is the way the drivers work. In either case the diode is getting 1.4A so the duty cycle will also remain the same. Just because one will use a single 18650 does not mean it will be a less powerful laser. If there were a change in the power of the lasers that I am selling I would let you guys know this. I would not just sell lesser powered lasers and not tell anybody about it. Hope this clears things up for you guys.

I'd just like to say that one of these blue ice lasers survived a fall out of a car with the only damage being that it very slightly scratched some of the paint on the tail cap. They can hold up to a respectable amount of punishment.

Good find yobresal

Very nice Apex! They can only take so much. So probably shouldn't attempt the fall again haha.

LOL, well I yelled at it for doing its own stunts and not using a stunt double so hopefully it wont happen again.
