Well, SL II is more a name as in the version number, and not necessarily tied to exactly 2 watts output...but I have had three units running at 1.7-1.8W peak and a fourth that delivers 1,895mW, all with the standard AixiZ-style lens. Power with the G-1 lens will be 1.9-2.1W. We don't plan to cherry pick diodes but will advertise an average output much like the SL I, i.e., 1.75W +/- 150mW with the standard lens. We don't anticipate pushing past 1.8A current for the foreseeable future.

Yes, these are running in the same host with some extra heat sinking tricks. :D Small, inconspicuous and lightweight portability are key features of the Survival Laser, and this host fits the bill nicely.

wow, that is awesome, and very creative! I would have never thought to see the day of a ~2W 445 in a cree c6!

Offtopic but wth, do you still have the host assemblies for like $50?

Yes, I still offer the $50 445nm 1-1.3W laser host assembly special. I also have one more "tight pill" host assembly that I'll sell for $40.

In addition, I am now offering C6 host assemblies for 12X Blu-Ray and LPC red builds with drivers set at 400mA for $70 each, and both include an anodized aluminum heat sink, Allen wrench and a lens cap.

Just like the other units; C6 host, buck driver set at 400mA and preinstalled in the pill, anodized heat sink w/set screw, Allen wrench and lens cap.

Hey got my laser today and holy crap its FREAKEN bright!! This is a big step up from my 150mw green laser! Im glad I got the goggles because when I quickly viewed the dot on the wall with out them, i noticed that it burned in my vision for a few seconds (kind of like looking at the sun or a light bulb) It over came my brightly lit up room by making it glow blue. Also while shining it through a screen window I forgot about the strength of the laser untill I noticed the screen smoking.....I quickly shut it off...and the batteries were not fully charged ether. great laser so far, I will take pictures of it in a few days here.

Thanks...yes, Survival Laser advises that customers DO NOT look at the laser dot without appropriate safety goggles and that anyone else in the proximity of the laser beam must also wear safety goggles. High-power lasers are also a potential fire hazard and must be used with extreme caution around flammable materials.

Please read and heed the instructional and safety information that accompanies the Survival Laser parts bundles and that is also posted in PDF format on the SL website, BEFORE assembling and using your laser.

Love the first laser, think i need another . send me a pm on the total cost for the diy 455
module with lens and the diy laser host assembly and holster.think I will make a 2 watt the easy way .
