I sent you a pm to cancel my order. I dont feel the laser would be safe enough to have around my son nor myself until I do alot more research and maybe talk to some people who own higher powered lasers. Sorry for wasting your time but I cant chance mine or anyone elses safety until I have accrued a good amount more knowledge in this area :)

Me thinking that your laser is already shipped out... ;)
About safety: Just wear the goggles all the time lasing and after using take out the batteries and store it in a safe place.
Btw.: If you are outside and point it into the sky you can go without the goggles but you have to be careful to not point it at anything close to you. And of course be sure to not point it at a vehicle or aircraft.
About aircraft you can look here: Flightradar24.com - Live Flight Tracker!
Hope that helps a little bit ;) (Keep it, you won't regret it)

I agree, USPS prices are great for the normal person (aka non business), and even then they are very competitive.

Is the extension tube price for LPF members the same as the website price? If that was your idea, well done :p

I want one, but I'm not sure if I could justify $30 for that and $20 for high quality 18650s after recently spending as much as I did on some "toys". It'll be on my list though ^_^

Thanks. :) I had them made because they were not available from the host manufacturer. The 10% off LPF coupon code can be applied to any product on the SL website.

Hello Garoq. Just signed up here as a new member and found your web site yesterday. I'm very interested in your products.
Assuming the specified duty cycle is maintained, what lifespan do you expect your lasers to obtain? This is also assuming careful handling, not dropping the laser, getting it wet, etc.

Hello again Garoq. Another question. Assuming that the 18650 batteries are used. If the extension tube is NOT used, and only one 18650 battery is installed, will the laser run at a lower power? Maybe half power?

If so, that would give a way of adjusting the power for different uses.

Thank you

I would expect at least several thousand hours total run time from the SL I if the recommended duty cycle is observed.

The relationship is not linear. The optical output power using a single 18650 battery has been observed to vary from about 150 to 300mW, depending on the voltage of the battery. The battery must be nearly fully charged (4.1-4.2V) to work in this manner.
