well.....for the same price, you could get a buy a flex drive, and one of my modules,
my modules are only $15, your choice of blu-ray or red..then just buy a driver from rkcstr or dr.lava....

Umm the 150 mw is gonna be pushing it. I don't know what laser diode the ebay ad is using. For the price i would say phr like morhenberg. but safe long life is set to like 120ma. and yes the rkstr driver is good it needs 9 volts to run blu-ray. the lava drive is good too but only needs like 3-3.5 volts to run. so i say if you can't set current your self ask ryan at http://rkcstr.nfshost.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65&products_id=180 if he can pre set the current to 120ma. that is for long life and you can still burn with it. and if you buy the diode from morhenberg i think it comes with the housing and adjustable lens (module) but double check. then you can use it as is or get creative and install it in to a small flashlight body to be the host.

ps. my bro just got back from ISREAL. he went on a jewish birth rite trip. he brought back recipes and we made shawarma LoL. it was soo good.

Drlava's flexdrive is the best alternative. I know I have a phr diode connected to drlava's flexdrive set at about 125mA's powered by 3 AAA batteries and it's working perfectly. Nice beam at night and easily lights matches.

Remember the diode is not 150mW. it's a phr. The power it give out depends on the current u drive it at, at 120mA you won't get 150mW, you will have 100-110mW, 150mW would mean 140+mA, wich is raelly risky. I think this seller is just ignoring the risk he is taking or he is just faking the power of the module.

Ok, he says from 30mA to 165mA. I asume he means you will get 150mW on 165mA, wich could kill your diode so fast, so just forget about "150mW".

you realy don't need 150mw for your first one, I'm sure you will be happy to have the driver set to 100ma that will give you a long life on the LD and beautiful purple light.

Best Regards Pyro...
