Ok so I've been thinking of starting another blu-ray laser. I made a diagram of how I'll fit it into the flashlight. Currently I have an empty module which I put into a empty minimag. Please correct me if anything is wrong with the build.

You can try using a flexdrive and 3.7v lithium batteries instead of those button cells.

Thanks for the plug! :)

The thread that is linked, is not only a sale thread, but can be used as a great tutorial, or just one way to build a Mini Mag modification that could give you some ideas for your build!

Heatsinking the module is desirable, but the Mini Mag host is limited on space. That's why I mounted the driver inside the barrel, to make room for a heatsink! I sell the heatsinks separately as well...

I had a similar idea when I first joined here. The thing is, unless the focusing ring is tightened all the way, your aixiz module will be loose. Or you could use some thermal paste or a blob of solder to make it fit snug. Which driver were you planning on using? You could use your idea, with a flexdrive, and one 14650 battery. Your best bet with the mini-mag is using Jayrob's kit.

Also, as far as your wiring diagram goes, this diagram from Bennycast would work better for this case negative build:

Here is a pic of my mini-mag, but I was powering it with a 9V battery that I was holding in my hand just to try it out.

Cust11 helped me with all this info in a previous thread.
