this is my first laser build

i bought a aixiz housing

phr803t sled

lm317t

10 ohm resistor

nice host:yh:

should this driver work

THANKS and how much mw output is this?

It may not be very stable but as far as i can tell, yes it should work provided there are no shorts or other mistakes.
NOTE: I am not an expert, i have not got very much experience so don't take my word for it.

Should work. Personally I'd go for 12 ohms resistor, just to be on safe side at around 100mA, instead of 125mA you're giving to your diode.

Looks good.

It actually might be in good focus, but your eyes have very difficult time seeing the 405nm light. It's why the dot appears much larger in your vision, than it actually is.

If you're talking about actual focusing problem, then I dunno, try different lens?
