So the SD-H802A is the right model then? So the one in the link I posted for $25 should have the right diode in it?

Also, can someone link me to one of those AixiZ modules that I'm going to need? I can't find them via Googling.

Hmm... appears Star Surplus is out of stock now too. I had 15 in my cart before and they're still there and I can make it to checkout, wonder if that means I can still buy them :-? Now, if I only had the money, LOL!

Dang, $40 + shipping is too much for me for something I'm not 100% sure I can build properly.  If anyone comes across them cheaper, please post the link.  In the meantime I'm going to check out local stores to see if anyone has the Xbox 360 HD DVD drives cheap.

Wait, I think I found them cheap.  Think these are them - http://tekgems.com/Products/tg-et-40539-dvd-sil-sd-h802a-do-r.htm ?

Those should be the correct drives. I just ordered 2 of them. I don't think they will last long as they said only 20 left.

I doubt it. I actually placed an order with them and when I had some one pick it up for me they stated they ran out.

They are the right ones, but don't use your link. Your link is for the silver ones @ $24 plus $5 shipping. Use this link

http://tekgems.com/Products/et-40514-dvd-blk-sd-h802a-do-r.htm

That link is for the black ones @ $23 with free shipping. They have about 100 left.

I had them in my cart and paid for them yesterday. They emailed me today saying they were sorry.

Cool man. I just ordered one. Do you or any one else know if these have the PHR-803T sleds?

This entire refurbished run has had them. However, no one here can guarantee you that they do.

This is a possibility. The "report" on how many are available is dated 6/13. As we have seen, alott can happen in three days.

Yup, I found that one today. The company I work for needs about 20-30 depending on price and geeks was already sold out when we went to order them this afternoon. I think they are getting them from psxboy now.

So here's my plan for a build so far:

Parts:
Toshiba SD-H02A drive for diode ($22.99) - http://tekgems.com/Products/et-40514-dvd-blk-sd-h802a-do-r.htm
Rkcstr fixed 100mA driver ($7.25) - http://rkcstr.googlepages.com/home
Aixiz module ($5.99) - http://stonetek.org/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66&products_id=191
2x 3.7V 900mAh lithium batteries ($5.85) - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3435
Lithium charger ($9.17) - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4151
3W 2xAA LED flashlight as housing ($6.67) - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10902

Total: $57.92

So let me go over the process again here:
1. Remove diode from drive.
2. Install diode in AixiZ module.
3. Solder diode to rkcstr driver board.
4. Disassemble flashlight.
5. Install diode and driver in flashlight.
6. Connect driver to flashlight power source.

Do I have it right now? Thanks for all the help so far.
