Newbie Looking for a decent Blue Laser

I'm new to this but have always been interested in lasers. I've only ever had those 50mw pens you can buy in any store. I've looked around a little and seen a few different kinds of lasers. I like blue the most. I like the artic by wicked and the spartan by dragon but both I think are a little bit much as far as beam strength. I'm thinking maybe a 500mw blue would be neat or something along those lines. I like some of the custom ones i've seen with the silver bodies. I've also looked at SF bay area lasers. They have a blue one that looks interesting as it is small. Has anyone bought or know about them? I'd like to keep my purchase under 250. Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanx
