True, but i will go for the 10280 as the aixiz module is gonna be complete, there is absolutely no space inside the aixiz module as i will fit a driver in there, and LD ofcourse and 2 computer IC's including an LDO BMS and a 12F519 micro processor. Very tight fit. And i drilled a bigger hole on the back of the aixiz tube where the 2 wires come out for the 5mW module, this hole is going for the spring, and a 10280 would fit perfectly as i measured everything. I'm still waiting for a diode but i also bought a cheap blue ray pen just in case i screw up, so i could take that diode and driver out and use it as failure rates are lower at this point. And i don't think i will ever make such small thing with this many features in them

I'm thinking of making some ultra high power 405/445nm lasers with the same features in them, with a PIC ic to add some modes (constant, strobe, low power, mid power and max power)
Watertight of course and make it as solid as possible, and sell them.

It would be bigger of course, but i will also underpower the diode so it would last, but whenever i make one and someone is interested, i can even overpower it, if you want it. And i can program the ic to their needs. But this would be in the future (late 2016 early 2017)

I will even make the aixiz glass lens assembly watertight, or any lens you want. I can make them all watertight, and shock resistant. Host would be bigger of course as this is a nightmare to assemble and make. Still not done yet as i need the diode.

Actually, i got a hard time finding the 10180's on aliexpress. Trust me, on aliexpress they cost $12 a 3 piece's. So $12 for 3 10280's is a pretty good deal.

I actually bought a lot of Aliexpress. Its pretty rare to see them ripping people off. Never had any problems, and i bought of them since may 2015. More then 130 orders completed, just had one case where I didn't receive my package which wasn't the sellers fault. But it was cheap and i got full refund.

Hello, an update, the laser is completely assembled now. I will post pictures today! I will make an apart thread to show my build and explain it. How its made, and my new feature, you can replace the laser diode within 5 minutes!!!

I can't wait either! They are renovating our house at the moment. I'm helping them as it is fun. And they keep turning the mains off as they have to install electrical stuff like a new boiler and a MF box, and new sockets.

I will post the pictures today, it was one pain in the ass to get everything to fit. But i achieved it and its watertight too.
