Diode: LG BH10 10X.

Host: An old wooden salt shaker (lol). I slid two 1" copper couplings inside, which I soldered together. The couplings assist with the heat displacement. I did this because the wooden host has no heat sinking ability. I used a little Arctic silver to get better heat transfer from the aluminum heat sink to the copper couplings. In addition, the couplings carry the negative current from the tail switch to the diode.

Driver: Flexdrive set @ 335mA

Power supply: 3x AAA

Lense: Jayrob 405-G-1

This baby is pushing 493mW's

This is by far my favorite build to date! It's very unique. I don't think anyone used a wooden host before. It has a solid heavy feel to it. I can't put it down...it likes to be held.

Let me know what you guys think of it?

-Sarge

someone may be in for a shock next time they try to get salt and end up burning their food

you need a bumper sticker "my other salt shaker is a lazor"

Spicy!!!

Nice work Sarge, you beat me to a wooden host by just a little bit but... Look out soon though Mr Warrior!

I always knew pepper was hot but 10x hot?!!! That's just rubbing salt in the wound!

Does this mean we get to call you, "Sergeant Pepper", now? :na:

Just, "Sarge", it is then!

I have a few friends that have spent time over there but not lost anyone I know. War is never pretty. Although not a fellow countryman, thanks for doing your bit!

My son is over there now, 1st LAR, in Afghsnistan.....Everytime he calls, I can tell its affecting him more and more. Anyway, to all our veterans out there, thank you for all you do, and for all you put on the line. I, for one, will always be grateful. Semper Fi
