sorry everyone because i didn't send my test this diode for long time!
i updated video about current and voltage of it on the first page
i call it is V2000 because i didn't received any informatione from company!
- Thanks for your patience!

If it's this diode > https://www.lasertack.com/en/1w-405nm-laser-diode-hl40033g

If it's the diode linked above then it is multi mode and typical divergence is 13/42 where as the NDB7875 is typical 14/44 so it's a long way from our beloved single mode 405nm disc burners.

It would look ok in a pointer, but the spot at 100 meters would be a big bar rather than a small spot.

I don't see it being worth the price.

p.s. I am not complaining, just sharing an opinion/info. :) " Calling it like I see it. "

The output could always be run through a set of cylindrical lenses to circularize the beam and improve the power density.. if the price drops enough in the future I could see it being worth it if the total price for the diode and lenses could be reached for around $200. Worth it for me, anyways.. but at ~$500 for the diode (if that is what it currently costs) and $70 for the lenses.. hell no ;-)

The video at OT shows 2W output at 4.7V and 955mA???
Does it mean that this 405nm diode has efficiency of 45% like the best of IR ones?

I doubt it, sorry.

That is one impressive 405 build, I was under the impression the 405 diodes didn't go over 1.2-ish watts. Horribly expensive though...
