I saw this little $5 dollar LED light today and picked it up because I liked the color. You can see how small it is next to the Kryton barrel...

I made a custom little heatsink with set screw...providing a nice clean, solid mount for the business end of an AixiZ module...

Because of the limited space, after removing the LED lights from the board, I mounted the FlexDrive 'flat'. (love those FlexDrives)

I really like the use of the Lithium primaries. I can throw this little guy in the glove box or what ever, and not have to worry about it losing charge.

Set at 90mA's, putting out 91mW's.

On the heatsinks you're doing for me now. Do you remember that I said that it would be a "one of" type thing because they had changed the head of the flashlight? This is it! ;D

You can't see the "shoulder" in this pic, but it is there. Same body, different head. :D

Your way ahead of me Dave! Tiny little guys huh? Cool!

By the way, your material came today and if all goes well, I'll have your heatsinks in the mail on Monday...

The heads on the ones I have are a bit larger. The one you got has cleaner lines. Mine's a bit more "retro". It's going to work out better for what I'm doing with them though.

I like the look of yours too. I almost bought some of these and changed my design, but decided not to waste the ones I had.

Good work as usual, Jay

I'm guessing your going to build some 803T blu-rays? I guess the PS3's are no longer wanted. I have a brand new sled that I paid over $30 bucks for, from PSXboy. I probably couldn't even get $20 bucks for it now.

I took my PS3 build apart, and swapped the diode out for an 803T diode. So now I have that PS3 diode as well. (which is mounted in a 5.6mm Meredith adapter)

I guess I can put them in the F.S. thread and see if anybody wants them...

The blu-ray field is exploding! For our purposes, the PS3 is obsolete already and I haven't even finished building mine! :( I traded an 803T for it.

I'm building some multi-head units (803T and Senkat red). We'll see how they come out.

Peace,
dave

I'm surprised no one has tried the Wiiser, it might not be the simplest of projects, but I think it would be a creative housing.

Yes! That is exactly the same host there. Good eye!

Thanks! In fact, I've been having my eyes on that very host for quite some time now and recognized it immediately ;D

I got those at home.

Snytbaggen, you can find them at Clasohlson, I got them for ~$3,2 each. It was a special offer and I bought 3!
Just wanted to point that out if you don't have them, and want them NOW.

Lol! Well, your barrels are definitely easier to build! :)

The barrels (IMO) are also worth much more being custom...and hard to come by.

The little 'pocket pal', as I call it, is so small though! And still has a great battery capacity using 3 X AAA! I'm a big fan of Lithium primaries. ;)

I'm going to build a couple of these and offer them for $225. If nobody buys them, I won't mind having a couple extra!
