I think BR diodes like ~4.2V.

I would guess a Sharp 3.3mm can produced for notebook Blu-Ray writers.

wait, are you hooking it up directly to the diode? That would be a shitty idea, but depending on the driver (if used) that should be fine.

What he said. Use a driver. The input voltage of the driver depends on the driver really. The flexdrive has a input limit if 6V (I think, the version 5 anyway) and the Rkcstr drive is 12V.

Yeah, but I was just thinking a 7.2V battery pack would probably not work either way unless the actual voltage was above that, it's above the flexdrive voltage and below the rckstr PHR minimum voltage (7.25 I believe)

Of course im using a dirver:wtf: Lm317 temporarily, until i get the AMC, or LM1117. And the 7.2v pack is working great.
