I have always been fascinated by lasers and the past week or so I have been doing some research on lasers and managed to talk myself into making one. So far I only bought this 405nm GGW-H20L 6x Blu Ray Diode in Aixiz Module +650nm LCC diode [GGW-H20L] - $56.82 : High Tech DealZ, Simplifying the LASER Hobby! (still didn't arrive to my house yet). I want to put it in this http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/fs-pocket-mini-build-kit-easy-assembly-22537.html with the copper heatsink option and have either the 405-G-1 lens or this AR coated glass lens for 405nm/blu-ray [LENS3] - $16.99 : Modwerx Shop (what one would you recommend?). And as for a driver I was thinking of using this http://hacylon.case.edu/ebay/laser_diode/Micro_FlexDrive.phphttp://hacylon.case.edu/ebay/laser_diode/LASORB.php preset to 190 mA (or should I go with more/less?) and also was thinking of using http://hacylon.case.edu/ebay/laser_diode/LASORB.php, but not sure exactly if it's needed (again a recommendation would be very helpful). Would this be a good setup, or is my thinking wrong on this? Also, if someone could please, give me really short instructions on how to hook everything up with that setup (if you don't I think I could handle it, but I really don't want to mess something up).

Thank You,

Tim

Oh, and also, what exactly is a test load used for (from what I understand it's only used to set the driver), and would i need it permanently in the laser?
