how much do those cost?

-colby

typically the PHR-803T sled costs between $10.70 and $18.00~. They are sold by most of our members that have online stores. Another good place to check is the B/S/T section. There are always great buys there.

Safe ? ..... i think 100 / 105 mA ..... maybe 120 mA with a good heatsink (on a lab style heatsink i made work one 24/7 for 15 days without problems)

I heard here and there peoples that push them much more current, but imho it's not so safe for the life of the diode ;)

What is the max mW I can push my 803T diode?

Cheers,

Dominik

Max? 300mA~ for a few seconds :p.

I had mine at 118mA and it did well. Turned it up to 131mA and it did well. Got bored of that and went to 156mA and so far it is doing alright. It is in a slight heatsink and I used arctic-cooling MX-2 ceramic/silver thermal.

As for long life? 100mA should last forever. 110-120mA~ should be safe.
