Remember when we were paying <$50 for a drive just FOR THE CHANCE that we would get a PHR rather than a DT ?

Peace,
dave

I remember when I got a broken drive off ebay and found a DT. I thought i was unlucky until i turned it on... At least 410nm's if not more, and its still kickin'. A couple nanometers can really make a difference.

Forgot to ask earlier. Without using equipment, isn't there a formula for converting ma's to roughly mw's? i know the difference between BR or Red would make a difference, but i was just wondering.

You can look for a V-I-P (voltage, current, power) graph, but these are taken from one diode - but the exact mA->mW efficiency varies from diode to diode, so you can't tell accurately. You can say that it would be accurate to maybe +-15mW.

EDIT: Nice set of graphs can be found over at LE - laser enthusiast.
