I personally see the beam much better indoors in dim light with my reds then my br. my 12x blu-ray is still not as visible to me, beam wise then my ~250mw reds.

I must too.It also depends on the Blu-Ray diode. This picture has been photoshopped to replicate what my (and my wife's) eyes see.
This is with chilled fog. Medium exposure-1/100 Sec.
I would say these are not hard to see.
It hurt my wife's eyes so bad,she had to leave the room
Left to right: 95mW, 130mW, 125mW, 140mW-Freak 410nm
And a untouched one of a 120mW and a 125mW.
