Well, currently, i would like to upgrade to a Blue-Ray Burning Laser but from what I've read, the cost is rather high due to the diode.

What would be the average price of buying a premade, or DIY blue-ray laser?
Which do you prefer to do? buy new or build one?

You can build a decent PHR for 50-$60 or have one in a sweet jayrob host for about $80-$90. The PHR-803T diode is our least expensive diode that is used for burning. I think you are better off building one because $$$ vs. mW it is much more efficient to build rather than buy a complete laser. Bought is almost 1:1 ($ vs mW) while building one nets you approx 1:2 ($ vs mW). Now that really just depends on what you set your current to but I think I got the idea across.

Im realy lookn into getting the blu-ray burner pocket mini build from jayrob, its about x2 the money i wanted to spend.. but.. i might have to work something out for it.

I was going to buy a $48 burner from o-like.com and if i really enjoy the burning power, to go and build one.

Which model were you looking at on O-like?

Or you can get lasers from Iskor or Dark, Darkarmyofone is making one for me. Focusable

I am a little late to comment on this, but I still will.
I don't sell lasers...Never have, never will. I can't afford the risk of any legal liabilities.

What I will do...

1.) Give you instructions on how to make your own laser.
2.) Answer any questions that you might have during your build.

Later,
Iskor12
