The bare diode cost $49. I doubt there is any cheaper than that.

I would much rather get it brand new as well. Even if it hasn't been used, it still better to order from a professional. I just trust a reliable source more than buying someone's leftovers. But if money is tight, I understand.

Tell you what. If you want to send me your module I will pull the old diode, press a new one and add leads back for the cost of the bare diode.:beer:

I have an old S06J that was pulled from a working laser. Its been sitting for about a year and hasn't been tested. I have no plans for it so I'd sell it if you are interested in taking a gamble. I have no way of testing if it still works since I'm psu-less. Might be something for a middleman with a psu so they can test it and if it works you get the diode, if its dead you get a refund.

Well if he doesn't take it then ill send it to you to test anyways. If he doesn't want it I'm going to sell it but want to make sure its working first, duh. I don't feel good selling items if it may not work. I enjoy being an honest trustworthy guy, my reputation is all I got, well any funny posts ;)

I live down the road from LivinLoud and I've got a PSU. If interested I can test it so everyone wins. I would only feel comfortable getting it up to threshold though, not doing any efficiency testing.
