Hey everyone,
I made a similar thread in the General forum, but after 62 views and 0 replies, I don't think I'll get a reponse. :undecided:

I'm just wondering if I can use a module like this one 1845 House Housing Case W. Plastic Lens for Laser Diode | eBay to draw sufficient heat from this diode http://www.ebay.ca/itm/180711704294...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_3082wt_1270 while still getting enough power to burn nicely.

Also, are there any hosts that would fit this module nicely?

Thank you,
Alessandro

1min on 1min off runtimes should not be a problem as long as you keep that SF diode at around 150mA. I know it can go higher, but with a better sink. Those diodes where a crap shoot from the beggining though... I have had good luck with them and have 2 in my arsenal right now.

I don't think that'll do a very good job as a heatsink. I'd go over to Cajun Lasers (run by clif) and look at their host/heatsink combos. The guidesman hosts are great all around hosts. I have several of them and they work nicely.
