$8.97 blu-ray LD???

if an x-box 360 has HD then it has a blu-ray LD right? well does anyone know the catch on this replacement assembly on focalprice? And does anybody know output on one of these LD's?

The xbox 360 does not contain a HD-DVD diode. Only the HD-DVD expansion addon thingy has one.

That sled only contains red and ir diodes.

thanks.........to good to be true for that price. ive found ps3 lens/laser kits on e-bay for around 50 bucks..anybody have any experience with those? i'm really itching for a blu but don't have the cash to shell out for a pre-made pointer. i guess i'll add laser collection to my list of addictions!

powers from harvested diodes ranges from 50-100 mw and up in some cases

Check out the for sale and group buy sections of the forum... You'll be able to find the sleds from the xbox360's HD-DVD addon drive for about $15. These contain a much higher powered laser than the PS3. It's called a PHR-803t sled. Continue reading on the forum and you'll find a lot of useful information, there are hundreds of people here who have built violet lasers using these sleds. There are a number of walkthroughs and guides to read. Basically, stop posting and start reading more.. There's a lot of great information already here, and it sounds like you don't yet know the basics.. You'll avoid making a lot of rookie mistakes if you only do some research first.
