Hello to all!

I guess I am what could be considered an old timer here on the forum!

I can’t even remember when I was last here or when I last posted!

Sit-Rep.
All the nova lasers are still working like the day they arrived.

The home spun lasers are also burning And churning!

I’m glad to see the site is still up and running, but wonder if any of the other old timers are still around

So anyway.

I am wanting to see what’s what now.

Maybe build something blue (not 455nm more like 405nm)

Or an orange/yellow.

Or something in the visible range in a handheld that is up there in power.

Thanks to all!!

LarryQ

Welcome back, and glad to neet you LarryQ!

Your 2007 join date definitely makes you one of the senior veterens. :D

There are a lot of new diodes/wavelengths that have become available since you've left; you should take a look at DTR's site to get a look at most of the available diodes.

Hey there Larry. Welcome back! There are still quite a few of us around. I'm sure they will be along shortly to say HI.

Did you see the new blue and green diodes yet? They are absolutely beautiful. And high power? Oh yeah! We have those too. Check out DTR's shop to see what's new. https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/

its nice to see returning members, diode world and powers have changed alot, even compared 3 years ago when i started to read and learn about lasers, back then 1,5w blue(445nm) was costing 30 bucks or even more.

now we got plenty of different diodes up to 6-8w(nubm44) variety of wavelenghs like 460,473(gone),490,505 and 520nm of 1w+.still not any direct orange or yellow diode though

Welcome back LarryQ
Whats available to us hobbiest now in incredible, theres some great reading ahead of you :D
I started back in the "daguin" days, 2008, theres a few members with old join dates still plotting around, Lasersbee for one and a few more in and out, here and there. I really wonder where some of the old timers have gotten to, like "daguin" and "things" etc.....

Welcome back, Larry. It is always nice to see returning old members. Last time I heard from daguin, he was already getting on in years. Not, that I'm a spring chicken myself, but we have lost some members to the ultimate delete function. At least one that is presumed gone.
