Hi all, For the last 2 weeks I have been reading all over this site. There are some smart people in here! I have been interested in lasers 4ever so I figured this would be the best place to meet and learn form others. I have been into building small engines from billet alum. My last build was a 3 cylinder 75cc liquid cooled 2 stroke that revs. over 15500 RPM and it sounds insane, like F1 car. So now Im onto the laser build thing. Today I built my first laser 1000mw 445nm with a flex v5..Almost pooped myself when I hit the switch and it worked :drool: I'll add some pics soon.

Welcome to LFP.....I know just the feeling you have when you hit the switch and everything works!!
Congrats on your build and looking forward to some pics there.
If you have the ability to build small engines from billet alum than you might be able to help out some people here with heat-sinks and host(plus perhaps make $1)
