New to this forum and from the Bay Area (around San Fran, CA), so excuse me while I clarify some of the language that I might use:

"yaddidaymean?" - "You know what I mean?"


that's the only real one that I might be using so bear with me.
I'm also a senior in high school fyi. So forgive if I don't know what I'm talking about...

and instructables DIY project page. A guy took a Blu-Ray LD from a PS3 setup and put it into a Star Trek gun. There was a guy who linked to this forum.

It is kipkay.... who was it in here not long ago showing thier star trek phasor?
Kipkay now has a new metacafe video on this. are they one and the same?

he used a blueray diode things, were you refering to the maglite "hack"?

Well, that too. I was looking at the way he hooked them up and they were just too simple for me to really trust. So that's why I came here instead to get more info and such.

well laserco, both of the hacks he did aren't going to give your diode long life! even the blu ray one only consisted of a resistor to limit power.
