noob here -

just wat to say hi and of course ask a question.

i need to strip some instulator off some wire.

20wire grey ribbon cable. i have looked for ways to do it on line. some results are, sanding systems and laser systems. the sanding systems dont strip to the lenght i need so the laser system its the only solution i can find.

the lenght is about 7mm for the remaining insulation. with 4 to 5mm of the wire sticking out at both ends. as you can see the lenght of wire is really quite small and no one seems to do them cut and stripped to that lenght. (uk)

so i want to build a laser stripper system. what wattage do you think would do it. (grey insulation so the engery transfer to it would posible be an issue).

needs to be cheap and small and easy to use. i do have a massive supply of lasers as i work with barcode scanning gear.

so where do i start? what wattage? what nM whould be best for this application? has anyone done it before if so can i buy it off you?
oh i am very new to this so keep it simple please.
